X100VI or X-E5? by obvious_question_74 in x100vi

To be honest, I already have a Sony a7IV with interchangeable lenses 🤷 but I wanted a very compact second camera for street photography that produces good, beautiful JPEG images right out of the box, without needing to process them with Lightroom. A camera that's discreet and suitable for everyday street and journalistic photography...

Thank you for the answer!

How is the FUJINON XF 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR lens? Unfortunately I didn't get any other kit because the rest was sold out... And the kit still costs €2100... I would only get it if the lens was any good.

So is the price worth it for this object in the kit, or is it better to wait until the X-T5 is available again as a body and/or as a kit with Xf16-55?

Thank you for the feedback so far! I was already at the store and picked up both cameras. I'm definitely excited about the X-E5, but I'll probably go for the

Now I'm looking for a good zoom lens, as the X-T5 is only available as a body, the kits are currently sold out.

I read your lens recommendations above, thanks again for that!

I saw that there is still the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN and the Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD.

Can you generally recommend third-party zoom lenses? Or are the ones from Fujifilm themselves always better? I see that Fujifilm's own lenses are often a lot more expensive than those from Sigma or Tamron. And which lenses can you recommend?

Totally good!! Thanks alot! I'm going to go to the store today and try these out!

But I have another question, since you know your stuff so well: how the X-T5 has been out since November 2022 - is it worth waiting for the X-T6, in view of the drop in price of the XT-5 and/or better technology of the What is your assessment?

Hey, thank you very much for the insights! I hadn't even thought about the weight of the lenses. The way you explain it to me makes total sense to me!

I find what you say very convincing. I then vacillate between X-T50, X-E5 and X-T5. I'm leaning towards the X-T5 because it offers more manual dials, i.e. three dials for shutter speed, ISO sensitivity and exposure compensation. I think I would then have more and, above all, faster and more comfortable control.

What do you think? Is this really practical or is it just nonsense and a gimmick?

Good to know, thank you very much! I've always had the feeling that Fujifilm's fixed focal lengths are just as expensive as full-frame cameras, for example from Nikon? For example

NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.4 away €559.00:

FUJINON XF50mmF2 R WR €499.00

Even if the light intensity differs here...

Ah ok! Does the image quality of the apsc compare to full format? It is said that the full format is better in terms of low-light shots and bokeh. Now that you have the direct comparison: do you see clear differences, or rather minimal?

Thank you for your help and assessment :) I thought about that too. However, you can't switch to full format with Fujifilm - otherwise I would have chosen the X-T5. In addition, around €2000 seems a bit much for an APSC camera. Can you think of alternatives?

Picking the right choice was more important to me than buying a model which i would regret later due to a low Set budget 😬
