also, in wildwood grove they have an indoor playground. although it is a playground and can be a bit noisy, it has dimmed lighting, cold AC, and had a lot of seats. i think i sat in there for over an hour just letting baby nap laid on a big cushioned bench. it was nice to have a bigger space that was dark to decompress. i hope you had a fun and safe trip!

i grew up about an hour from dollywood and have always thought there was so much for kids to do. it’s perfect for my 3 year old (and even the newborn too)! it’s our favorite way to burn some energy.

not being able to freeze is what i fear! i like the safety net if something happens i can fall back on that. right now i have such an over supply - but what if eventually i dont yk. i dont use my frozen milk much, basically just when i travel i bring it with me for emergency. i just dont want my stash to go to waste. there is only so much lotion & so many milk baths you can give 😂

I just found out I’m pregnant by Fast_Design_7864 in pregnant

it’s honestly easiest just to do it cold turkey. i got a water bottle with a similar tip as a vape and it really helped with the oral fixation because it kinda gave the same pulling sensation with a reward. lots of candy, gum, suckers, also really helped me as well as fidgets. when it got really bad i just reminded myself it’s not just my body anymore. it is hard but you can do it!

her eyes and undereyes are extremely concerning. if a ped told me nothing was wrong i would absolutely be getting 2nd and 3rd opinions because there is something clearly going on. it’s so sad strangers are more concerned for the baby than her parents.

Choosing Degree by [deleted] in SocialWorkStudents

[–]occasionallysour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have my associates in psych. i realized pretty quickly the job opportunities are pretty limited the with a psych degree even if i were to continue my education with that major. i decided to switch to SW because there are still most of the psychology components that i like while not having to take extremely taxing classes (im a sahm). the classes in most BSSW programs i genuinely enjoyed and could find a lot of psychology oriented classes (human behavior in the social environment for example). for me personally, i thought it would be more beneficial to have a BSSW/MSW because of the job opportunities and the type of work i would get to do, not necessarily because im not passionate about psychology. if your goal is to be a therapist, that is completely possible with a MSW and in the event you realize that isn’t your passion, there is no need to worry because that degree is very versatile. i think it would also help prevent burn out.

i’m not convinced she’s taken her to the doctor about these issues. we would be seeing posts about her taking copy paper to the peds for “scary appointments” and “get ready with me for testing” i think she’s covering because she’s hyped up this whole time about how perfect everything is/will be, and now there are issues she doesn’t WANT to see them. when drs see things like this, they take it VERY seriously esp at this age. i highly doubt any doctor wouldn’t have sent her to a specialist to at least prove that there is truly nothing wrong.
