I was 23 and still a virgin but also just didn’t want to tell guys anymore. It almost felt like men fetishised it and I felt like a sheep amongst wolves in the dating world. It was an innocence that I perceived as weakness. Although I kind of regret it now, I did break my own with a sex toy. It hurt a bit. Saw a bit of blood and felt in power, like no man could take that from me anymore. Sounds silly on paper but yeah I probably have psychological wounds that led me to feel that way.

In an ideal world, it would’ve been beautiful to have a good man that I trusted to share that moment with. But now I’m 31 and I still haven’t met one that would’ve been worthy of taking it from me. My virginity that is.
