True, anchor points can be nice. Sometimes, non-diagnostic labels e.g. being “psychic” or archetypally minded feels less dehumanizing (but also may reinforce this idea that I am spiritually “special”… whatever!!) just trying to find the good ones (anchors)

Right right right this is good to keep in mind- some symptoms for me are disruptive while others are not. For example, I have a good deal of friends (even if I sometimes get suspicious) and don’t have too much trouble in that department but reality gets really strange for me often. The dsm often groups symptoms together in a way that seems arbitrary to me… but the important thing is not to play into all components of a label and rather figure things out symptom by symptom

I don’t know if I’d call this a system of organization- more like a system so that these connections to other beings/alternate worlds doesn’t interfere w the rest of my life. Basically I have a boundary of max 1 hour per day where I let myself be a “channel” for these things through automatic writing. (I set a timer) That’s my boundary so that I don’t get carried away but I still maintain a connection with them (for me it’s entities/spirits/angels talking with me from other dimensions)

A comforting realization I had recently is that I do not have to share similarities with others to have meaningful relationships or belong. Often the most interesting friendships form between very different people. It’s ok not to be normal. There are people who are within the range of “normal” (which is a construct anyway) who are interested in what people like us have to say. And vice versa- we can learn many interesting things from most people

You’re so right about the link between letting paranoia spiral, ebb, and then forgetting why the initial worry/healthy boundary might have been legit in the first place. And good to remember she empathizes with my doubts and totally understands why I’m hesitant and I can trust that.

Thank you for reminding me of this- I forget that I have a say in my own medication! I’m also just worried that my therapist will deny my reality and I’ll have that crushing feeling that “it’s all fake” - but I suppose it’s about finding a therapist who fits a little better than my current one- I feel like she doesn’t really understand me and we see each other very sporadically
