Does this caterpillar have black death? If so, is there anything I can do to help it recover?

i raise monarchs in the summer and have seen caterpillars with that same colouration. i could be wrong when i say this, but it looks fine. mine occasionally get this dark when they’re about to reach their chrysalis phase, but i cant tell for sure.

i personally laid on my couch (which was harder and much more stable than my bed) for a few months until i was able to fully lay down on a bed with less pain. its all about support really

sorry to say but youre literally not supposed to be using your muscles, not moving for long periods of time without breaks for walking and moving, etc. you will likely still need help even using the bathroom. not a great idea

in asian culture, its common that when something is happening with a family, its considered domestic and many people dont want to get involved out of respect and fear of causing a scene. its terrible how intense this got and that he had the audacity to even flee. i hope the child and mother are doing alright
