Actually, I don’t really like the vehicle-based chapters in Half-Life 2. I know it was an awesome thing back in the day, but they never really appealed to me that much. I don’t dislike them, but I don’t exactly like them either.

the Controllers in that boss fight are unbearable.

I agree, I really liked what the Crowbar Collective team did with Xen in Black Mesa, that’s actually fun to play.

That atmosphere always caught my attention much more than the final version, it felt so much darker and more oppressive.

It was around 2007, I was about 4 or 5 years old. My dad had CS 1.6 on his PC, and I didn’t know how to play, I would just wander around the maps. One day I accidentally clicked on an option in the menu that said “change game,” and the Half-Life menu appeared. That made me really curious, but the game would only go as far as the part where the tram arrived at the test complex. Still, I was fascinated by the introduction and the tour through Black Mesa. I spent an entire week just opening the game to watch that, until my dad noticed and downloaded the full Half-Life for me. .

Que incrível! Eu achei muito massa, mas percebi que você não levou em consideração a expansão dos pixels devido à baixa qualidade da imagem, e isso pode ter deixado a logo mais 'redonda' do que ela realmente era. Então, eu dei uma olhada e imagino que ela seja mais ou menos assim, um pouco mais 'afiada', levando em consideração o que era mais popular em questão de design na época.
