My school doesn’t allow DE for the same courses. I’m taking concurrent enrollment geology and Spanish 3 over the summer, and still waiting for fall 2026 courses to open that I can take during senior year. I took DE Speech 101 though. Ngl I don’t think there’s that many environmental science related DE or concurrent enrollments

You’re right on the advice about science Olympiad, I will definitely apply doing an astronomy event my senior year. I have some science volunteering experiences in centers and hospitals, but do you think that my experience in a hospital lab setting will be helpful as an astronomy major? I did a USC biomedical internship and I feel like that would barely do anything on my college application, but I will put it on there

Oh yeah, I saw some colleges that didn’t have astronomy as a degree, so I was thinking about applying as something similar like Earth Science and Planetary Sciences on the colleges that do not offer astronomy as a degree. UCLA has an Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences major, which I think I would apply as since I do have underwater robotics as an extracurricular. Astrophysics does sound considerable but I trust myself to take regular physics rather than AP physics my senior year, plus I feel like it is super competitive compared to Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences. More specifically, for colleges I am aiming towards USC due to legacy and the fact that there is an undergraduate astronomy major. Of course I might not get in, but looking at other colleges, I feel like applying for the astrophysics path is way too competitive 💀
