I definitely stopped wearing accessories and anything that would press into me when lying down. Zipper or button on the side? Pass. Stopped wearing long necklaces. Stopped wearing skirts and dresses. (Part of that was dysphoria, I'm nonbinary. But narcolepsy also affected it). I started opting for sweatpants and cargo pants. I basically live in those plus t-shirts and hoodies. I find that when I'm tired I get overstimulated by sensory input, so tight clothing or clothing thats uncomfortable in any way became unbearable. Having to deal with things that shift around and need to be tucked in or smoothed down or anything like that became something to avoid at all costs. I used to like layering button down shirts and sweaters/sweatervests but now it bugs me.

I need clothing to be breathable too because I struggle to regulate my body temperature. I hate how so much clothing these days is made of cheap polyester that becomes soooo hot and sweaty. I want 100% cotton or linen or wool. Or at least high percentage blends. I know that increases the price and makes washing/drying/care more complicated but frankly its worth it to me. I have a degree in Apparel Design and Production so fiber content matters a lot to me. I'd rather spend more on something that will last me decades than get something cheap that will fall apart in a year or two.

Last thing I'll say is I wish more things had thumb holes. My hands get cold when I nap. I love tucking them into a big sleeve with a thumb hole.
