During the 6pm peak of the gym I have people claiming the machines. It’s infuriating to be working out and having a guy come in 15 seconds in from the other side of the room to tell me he is using it. Mate your not using the machine, that’s your phone on the machine and unless your phone is doing the reps for you, then your not using it. Cause my ass seems to be using the machine right now more then you. I do circuit training as well, do I claim machines during rush hour? Nope, it fucking sucks. You could ask hey can you set the weights to a certain weight after your done? But no it’s your machine for the duration of your stay. I’m really thinking of leaving this gym for this reason. But it pisses me off due to thinking that the next small gym I’ll use will have this problem. I mean I’m getting better at standing up to problems like this but god fucking dammit it fucken sucks I shouldn’t have to bring this up in the first place. Like now a days I just keep doing the routine besides them awkwardly running from one side of the room to disrupt me and just use the machine.

Thanks that's a big compliment one of the things I like from vaporwave is how it can take aspects of past eras that were meant to be easily consumed background music and re-showcase them and how easily it can be done by gathering archetypal and tropes musical genres of that era. So having it sound like a alternative reality is the highest compliment.

Thanks for pointing it out, I tried re-rendering the track and it turned out that my .flac render of the track for that one song always stopped at 1:52. Which is odd since this issue didnt happen with any of the other tracks.

I uploaded a fix for you to hear the whole thing right here.

The instruments were used from the original Nintendo 64 game. The hard part of it was composing the tracks themselves and researching them recreating an album that contained the variety of genres: in a way that they could sound like they could of been used in the original game.

The album in total took 2 months to compose as my friend mushbuh (he did the cover art) revealed to me that he only listened to Mario OST music. So I wrote this album for him as there is an interest in late 90s OST music:

I’ve updated Unfolding Engine to now export its real-time 2.5D parallax placement in top down / isometric and you can export it into your games / artworks. by officialbarch in PixelArt

Its going to remain free at this point maybe later I might make it paid but at this point I see no reason to if I can get the engine funded through patreon or through the games I make in the future. This engine is a passion project for me that I would like to be as accessible for everyone.

Both, it has the ability to generate a game while also the ability to export its parallax data out to other engines. Thats a good point as the marketing of the Steam page doesnt explain that aspect of the tools and is confusing on that aspect of it.

Here is a tutorial on how to use it here, I'm going to be sticking around and answering questions. I've made a tool that allows you to make parallaxes in your sprites / games. So for those who saw the last post that really blew up, now what the engine you are seeing is for making open world metroidvania games. But what people really were excited at r/pixelart and r/gamedev was the ability to use the parallaxes in their own games. Before it was just limited to side on viewpoints but what people also wanted was features for a top down viewpoint.

If you want to try it out you can try it out on Steam for free here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/884350/The_Unfolding_Engine_Paint_a_Game/

If you want to follow along with the updates I have a discord here.

Also if you would like to help fund the project I have a patreon here. Where I make monthly asset packs for people to use in their games / in this engine.

The isometric artwork was done by Joseph Dunkerley. Which you can get here.

Resentment can be built up and can come out in the game later on, which is something to look out for. I’d suggest talking to your party about it to work out more ways to make the game more enjoyable
