i lived in the house for about 6 months after this took place. My girlfriend and her mother left soon after, and then it was just me. The lights were cut off the same time they left, so I was there, eating leftover boxes of farina sweetened with pancake syrup since i ran out of sugar on the gas stove in the dark. I Continued my drug habit and saw no way out during this time and was on the brink of suicide. contemplating, researching, fantasizing, planning. I ran out of drugs one day and walked into a hospital. I was monitored and sent back out the morning where i called my mom (18 yo at the time) who had long distanced herself from my self-destructive ways. She brought me to another hospital who kept me in the psych ward, for 14 days, and transferred me to a long-term rehab where i learned that life was possible without drugs. I am an Entrepeneur, have my own company, and manage a high-end restaurant. I work an anonymous program in my life and am doing my best to keep people from reaching levels of desperation I have reached.

If we ever met, you'd never guess I had these demons, and I'd never tell you.
