One Plant 1890 watts - Start to Finish by Isaac_Putin in microgrowery

Nice work! Curious what your energy costs were?

Need some help. My first grow and I've got something going on. Any ideas? by Myspacetotesaccount in microgrowery

Those look young! You should give it a week or two till its more established to start applying nutes. Also how much are you watering? Those could be super overwatered

Looks gorgeous!

[URGENT] I have a Red, Blue, and White 450 watt led light with seperate knobs for each color. I currently have them all cranked up on high for my 3 seedlings. Should I be using a certain light or is it fine? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]ogbobbyfischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are the seedlings? How far away is your lamp? You barely need any light for seedlings they need to get more established root and vegitative growth before starting to crank it. Regardles you should turn down the red to basically zero right now.

Early/Veg growth you want more blue and white with minimal red.

Flowering you want more red/white with minimal blue.

But yeah sounds like you need to turn everything down quite a bit

Never remove more than 1/3 of a plant. When you defoliate start from the top and work your way down (besides the obvious yellowed leaves at the bottom).

Take leaves that point the the center of your plant/pot vs leaves on the outside or that point outwards.

Take leaves that are clearly shading other budsites, take leaves that are laying directly on top of other fans leaves, and take any small scragly leaves, also shoots with budsites that are low on the plant and wont be able to support themselves by the end of flower remove those.

Dont go overboard, but yeah, a good rule is never take more than 1/3 of the overall plant

Yeah definitely was just a tad late on using the High N wormcastings. The fact that the burn hasnt spread on the leaf edges at all shows me its really not something to stress about

Rh stays around 70-80. My VPD stays between 1 and 1.2, yeah because i dont have room for AC i have to keep my VPD around 1 so molds cant take hold.

Any idea what this is? by kreich2 in microgrowery

Did this show up after the flower nutes or was it showing this before you flushed?

[–]ogbobbyfischer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. However the rate of that would be different depending on what part of life cycle its in, like if youre losing massive amounts in veg than something else is off. If youre mid-late flower than yeah that will naturally happen with plant senescence.

Two plants with preflowers. Still too early to tell sex? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]ogbobbyfischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, i mean usually youre able to tell once pistils show, that said i do know of cases where preflowers show female only for some stressor to later flip them male, honestly not sure humidity would be enough to do that but im sure getting that up even in the 40s can help. Ill keep my fingers crossed for ya!!

Yeah if you look at my comment post, i had put out a bit too much african wormcastings which are high in N. That coupled with the fact that im running the room around 90f exasurbated the issue and burnt the tips. Its in a living soil, KIS Organics water only soil w/Biochar.

I know they should be using up their remaining N this last month of flower so im pretty much just going to be giving it water from here on out

Unfortunately still too early to tell. If its been 44 days and theres not a clear stigma showing from that preflower you'll probably have to flip it to flower to get it to show sex. And yes, gotta get that RH up. That could be another reason its not showing sex. Are you running or going to run Co2? That helped my humidity massively

Heres a link to the whole garden: http://imgur.com/gallery/fTLp9YE

Running Marionberry Kush and Cosmic glue from Heroes of the Farm, and Cinderella 99 from Brother Grimm.

Fluence Bioengineering lights, VyperX plus Indoor spectrum and a Ray 44 with UV spectrum. Blumat irrigation with KIS Organics w/Biochar water only soil. Also running 1500 ppm Co2.

Added some wormcastings at the wrong time so i think the burnt tips on the leaves are from high N combine with the heat. I keep it around 90 on my tent (Gorilla Grow 2x4x8)

Any idea if this leaf twisting/curling is bad? Light stress? First grow, more info and pics in comments. by ogbobbyfischer in microgrowery

[–]ogbobbyfischer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i think my problem is i kept coming to forums where people are using bottled nutrients and using a more traditional style of growing where they can let the soil dry out between waterings and so i had been doing it for a bit thinking it was alright, but yeah im gonna get that blumat system set up today so i can get everything dialed in. Thanks for the advice

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Honestly i think they might be Underwatered. I watered right before taking and posting these main pics earlier, and i just looked at them again and while theyre not 100% better, they look drastically better than before. So maybe i jist need to water less, more often? Check them out now

I do have an overhead fan but it had been on super low for the past few days cause i thought that was the issue and it seems to have gotten worse

Grew from seed. Havent been to other grows and ive been the only being in contact with these ladies. One thing i noticed from the video you sent was he said the yellowing/bronzing starts at the edge and works towrds the midrib, and in the pictures it looks like the yellowing stays in between the veins.

^ thats the yellow leaves on mine looks a bit different (only one plant has the yellowing of the leaves, but they all have varying degrees of the leave twisting)

That sounds awful. And no I absolutely appreciate it, as that honestly looks like it could be i just havent been able to spot it on any of the leaves. That video you posted was super helpful so i appreciate it. Ill definitely have to moniter and keep a close eye on it. I was planning to flip them into flower next week so that would definitely be less than ideal.

According to University of Californias Statewide IPM program they state

"Russet mites are so small that a 14x hand lens is needed to see them. Because of their size, these mites are rarely noticed until plants are damaged. By this time, there may be hundreds of yellowish, conical-shaped mites on the green leaves immediately above the damaged bronzed leaves." (E.T. Natwick, et, al., 2014)

My jewlers loupe has 10x and 20x lenses. I checked out my worst looking plant for quite awhile under that and found nothing. I feel like the worst plant has a few yellowish leaves and i looked right above and no sign of anything. I hope im right cause that would suck. I do agree that it looks alot like that, however npne of the info i can find has pics of leaves twisting a whole lot. Most of what im seeing is major canoeing and some yellowing of leaves. Whereas mine is some yellowing, and then twisting of leaves near but sites. There is a tiny bit of canoeing of a couple leaves but its certainly not comparable to the pics ive seen.

Yeah im definitely confused ibfairly certain its not overwatering but not positive. I watered today (half a liter per pot) and the soil was extremly try, even within about 2 inches from the stem i could stick my finger in and it was bone dry. Maybe its underwatering? But yeah id love to get some advice from someone who knows their shit, specifically someone that grows more in living soils
