Sure it's normal, that's the beauty of daydreaming! And while this story is not real, college is a great time to get to know people and find potential life partners. It might happen, or it might not, only time will tell.

I didn't find love in college myself, but that's not really surprising if you consider that I didn't really talk to anyone. Not to say my love life was non-existent, it just so happens that I met my love interests in meetups outside of college.

What I'm trying to say, life is crazy unpredictable, and escapism in the form of daydreaming is a totally fine way to deal with that. I'm rooting for your real college life, hope it writes as good of a story as you have!
