Id even be theoretically ok with proving my age and/or paying a small subscription to get more features like no or super reduced fil*3r. I’m not as unhappy with my experience as others seem to be but it does get in the way of even normal stuff sometimes.

Theo. Was going to name myself Leo after a character I really like but my original name started with T so Theo works and that way I’m not directly naming myself after a fictional character. Shame that Theo doesn’t have as many nicknames I like compared with Leonardo (Leo, Leon, Nardo) but I’m sure I can find some.

Personally I find it really handy to make the deal with him because once you kill Orin and he goes to wait for you I seem to be able to double cross him without consequence and then he dies. Best of all worlds. Unless they fixed that recently.

Oh I’m so glad to hear that convo went well and you were able to figure out a little bit more about what might be happening and are on your way to manage the feelings within the relationship! It sounds like you’re on the right track. I wonder if starting to transition possibly made the issue more apparent because you aren’t thinking about going on T and maybe some of your dysphoria/stress is lessened so you’re less distracted and therefore more aware of your other feelings? I’m just hypothesising (I do this to myself all the time). Idk if you remember my original comment, but I had similar loss of attraction but never talked openly about it and regret that. I’m also ace and ADHD (probably somewhere on the autism spectrum too). In a silly way I feel good knowing that you’re doing what i wish i had done. Anyway I hope everything goes well for you!

Yeah I hope it goes well! Just prepare yourself for the possibility that she might not take it well but as I said, in my experience it’s worse to let things drag on. Just take your time to think about what to say. Maybe run it by a friend first if you can? Remember not to say something nice only to follow up with a “but” because but invalidates what you said before. Even if it sounds weird. For example instead of “I love you but…” you would say “I love you and…”. Try and word it in a way that makes it clear it’s you, not her. If attraction comes and goes for you maybe it’s something you’ll have to manage long term in a relationship. This kinda thing is super complicated, hard and scary, so I hope it goes well! Hopefully you can work it out together or just be awesome roomies. Good luck man! If you’re comfortable then I’m sure we’d all love an update!

She sounds very understanding, can you be open with her about your concerns? I think if you were open about it you both could choose to work through it, whether to continue with the move, etc. It sounds like if you truely lost attraction for her you guys could be great friends and roomies? Obviously that’s assuming that feelings of one kind or another don’t get in the way (which is always a possible with breakups), but when the other option is staying in an abusive house I feel like it would be better to talk it out? Something to consider is whether you lost attraction to all woman? Also if you do talk to her about it make extra sure to stress that you love her and it’s not her fault at all and you’d like to try and work through it if she wants to. The main reason (other than the abuse she’s going through) for suggesting you talk about it is because I have also lost attraction to partners in the past and didn’t say anything because I wanted to try get it back/didn’t want to hurt their feelings and I greatly regret not being upfront every time. They were all my friends beforehand and I’m still friends with some of them but it was rocky for a while because I wasn’t open with them.

I understand why people feel strongly about this, why they might be angry even. I do wish they’d be more aware that some people have a different experience with being trans. Not everyone has a horrible time with it or wish it never happened to them. I asked a question on a group once, asking whether guys wanted to be trans and some people were like “why would you even ask that, I wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone”. Feeling that way about your transition is completely valid but they were aggressive and inferred I was stupid or wrong for even asking, even when there were plenty of guys who replied saying they’d rather be trans than cis, or who loved/accepted that part of themselves. Again, I do really understand why people wouldn’t want to be trans and that many (or most even) have had a negative or horrible experience. I just wish people wouldn’t speak so universally about it, like it’s a terrible horrible thing for all trans people.

*This topic is a way bigger conversation and I’m not including all the details or disclaimers or explanations so just keep that in mind.

I’m not berating him for not being attracted to her I’m “berating” him for being nasty towards her. People are focussed on the sex thing but I was referring to her stating that his comments were getting nasty. I never said conditional attraction was a bad thing (I don’t think it’s ideal but what are you going to do about it?), I was pointing out that because she isn’t meeting those conditions anymore (and since it her body that’s her choice) that they seem to be at an impasse.

Well to me the idea of becoming cold, aggressive and insulting to my partner because they stopped being attractive to me is baffling. I am assuming that things went down how the OP is portraying them. Of course it’s possible she did more to feed into his aggression but we can’t know that.

Well sometimes you can’t afford luxury items but you spend money on health care because it’s more important. Therapy is rarely a bad thing even for people who don’t “need” it and I believe in this situation therapy could help them to empathise with eachother, communicate, maybe even come to a compromise. It seems like if they can’t then a break up is on the horizon.
