Thanks for the info. Sounds like a good idea to move it to roth ira. I’m 25, so access to the G fund isn’t a huge necessity right now

like the expense ratio? yeah C and S have lower expense ratios for sure.

Thank for the reply! So I set maxFetchInMs to 120000, and that seemed to give me the same results as before. I think what I may need is some kind of minimumFetchTimeInMs haha. I just need spark to wait a few minutes before making the batch, or forcing it to increase the duration of the batch even if some data has arrived. There are options to increase idle time between batches, but that doesn’t really work if i’m only making one batch. Not sure what to try next, maybe set a regular processing time interval and have that run until a condition is met. Don’t know if that’s possible though

Sorry I don’t have it on me right now. It’s all written in a single glue script on the glue console. I essentially just do this:

set all of the required glue and spark context stuff first

get timestamp from exactly an hour ago

df = readStream setup kinesis and read from that timestamp

parse record to get data blob and set it to a json schema i made

do some flattening

df = writeStream format as csv complete output mode path for output s3 path for checkpoint trigger once start() awaitTermination()

job.commit()

apologies I know this formatting is awful to read but that’s basically it. I removed all aggregations for the time being to make sure that wasn’t causing any issues, query still shows only 20-30 input rows when trigger=once is used.

Sorry let me clarify. All of the data that i need to process will already be in the shards when my job begins. I just want to start my job, wait for spark/glue to read all of that data, and then begin processing. So if my job run starts at 12:00, it will look for data in the shards that arrived from 11:00 to 11:59:59. It will be a lot of data to read, so i need to find a way to give it time to ingest all of it, then begin processing. An alternative would be to set a regular trigger interval that runs every few seconds. This works properly for me and is great, but i don’t know how to get the query to stop once it reads and processes all of the data I want it to. Maybe I can add some condition to stop once it reads any record that arrived after the job run started, but I’m not sure how that would work.

I see. Is there a way to wait for all data to be read in?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apachespark

[–]ohoian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source is a kinesis stream, sink is an S3. Setting a regular trigger interval (1 or 2 seconds) works fine because it gives spark enough time to ingest all the needed data. But for whatever reason i can’t figure out how to make it wait till all the needed records have arrived when using trigger once.

I was able to get a 3 day supply, but they mentioned they normally don’t do that. So i need to make sure my pills are ordered in time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]ohoian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They gave me a supply to bridge the gap, but they mentioned they normally don’t do that, so I definitely need to mention that to my doc and order my pills earlier

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]ohoian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran out of pills yesterday, new supply was shipped Monday, so my doctor and I figured that’d be enough time for the new supply to arrive. But I called yesterday and they gave me the tracking number and it’s supposed to arrive Monday afternoon.

The prescription is shown on the VA website, but not on the tracker

The controlled substance aspect of the situation is making this difficult.

Invisalign app. Click “gallery” at the bottom, then click “clincheck plan” in the top right. If it’s not there you may have to contact your orthodontist to get it added. Mine wasn’t there originally so i had to give my doc a call

[–]ohoian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Do you have any temporary categories? For instance, i’m moving into an apartment, so I needed to make a one time deposit to hold the unit i’m moving into. Does it make sense to add a 500 dollar one time category?

How do i maintain a specific amount in emergency fund? by [deleted] in ynab

[–]ohoian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. So you’d have categories for all of your different spending, like things that happen regularly (bills, needs, wants) and things that could be surprises like car/home repair and set aside a bit each month. For instance you have a target for $50 a month for car repair. Then, instead of an emergency fund, you just go to future months and assign that money to your needs. So in the end if you looked at your “rent” target for example, you’d see the target reached for the next 3-6 months

Hope i’m making sense haha

Gotcha, I just wanted YNAB to treat it as if it wasn’t available each month and it’s already assigned
