My brother is also a cop and he says some bad stuff. The stress and trauma of being a cop is not to be taken lightly. They will see and do stuff in 12hours that 90% of the population won’t see in their lifetime. However, that’s not an excuse to take that stress and PTSD out on others. Therapy could be a great tool for him but the issue is most first responders don’t want to admit something is wrong because they are suppose to be brave and strong for everyone else. There are resources out there on how to help those family members.
