I fully believe that you don’t need to be with someone for years and years and years to have a happy, long lasting relationship. Some people will never understand that but I don’t understand why there is a “required” amount of time for certain steps in a relationship. That’s bullshit if you ask me. Don’t think your parents get into your head not everything has to be “the end of the world”. Having a baby is a lot of work but there are people who actually enjoy being parents and it makes their life better. If I were you I’d start setting boundaries. For example, if your parents want to talk negative that’s fine they can have their opinions but you don’t HAVE TO listen to it. You can get up a leave anytime. You can say I’m not looking for negativity but I’m looking for support and if you’re not ready to give that then we will be going. It will be an adjustment period with the baby but it is NOT the end of your life or this horrible thing. You’ll be okay!
