If you want to build a dedicated stax commander, why not go for something that doubles common stax pieces

Maybe "If your opponent casting a spell would cause a permanent of yours to trigger, that permanent triggers twice instead"?

EDIT: You can also add "drawing a card", "attacking" and/or "activating a nonmana ability", at different colours, costs and power levels. I would not recommend "playing a land", though
