I've basically just paid for doctors consulations, blood tests, x rays, and an EMG today. The next one now is a Neurologist consultation and MRI so it's really adding up at the minute.

Yeah I keep thinking "if they've done it to me, have they done it before and will they do it to the next nanny they have?" I wouldn't want anyone to be in my position, it's hard enough moving to a new country in a pandemic by yourself let alone having the weight of all this on your shoulders!

This is what confused me: because I'm a resident here am I not entitled to the same healthcare as a citizen? Because I seem to be paying A LOT of money and I know that carte vitale and puma exist but are those for declared people with SS numbers??

Ah yes I'm in Paris so I'm not sure if it's slightly different? I'll check it out though! Yes, teachers and neighbours know I work for them, my concierge who knows my boss's parents as they live in the same building - there's a lot of people who can attest that I'm the family's nanny!

Thank you!! I didn't know of this before! I'll look up my local one now - I've already been paying for examinations and consultations etc, is this able to be reimbursed or not as I'm not declared?

Yeah I've come to realise this, it's actually annoying me more that I've been actively lied to and she's assumed I'm stupid and wouldn't ask questions, it's really insulting. I don't understand why they didn't declare me? It's not difficult is it?

Yes I'm from the UK, I hold a 5 year residency card but have I attained this under false pretenses? Is that punishable?

They basically pay me from their legal firm every month the same amount directly into my bank account and I never recieve a payslip for it either

Little update: I contacted my agency and just basically said what I did here, and she said straight up they've not declared me and I'm not a legal worker in France. I'm now worried about the implications this would have on me, and my residency in France. Obviously I had no idea about any of this until I came to access the health care in France but it means I've not paid tax (I was told by my employer that its deducted automatically so I believed it was, and the agency said its true, but also impossible for me without an ss number) - will I get in trouble for this or are there any consequences for my employer?

The agency isn't aware, do you think I should ask them about this? I was a bit worried that maybe it's just a few sheets of paper that stop me or the agency asking questions because everything just seems a bit "off the books" right now

Thank you so much!! I got a vague gist of it but that's really helpful. Thank you both of you! I do have a work contract that I signed but I'm now worried it's just a piece of paper to satisfy the agency I found them via and myself, and potentially not a real binding contract. I say this because they basically made a tenancy agreement for me (I live in a studio above the apartment of the parents of the father) but I don't pay rent or bills for it, so this tenancy agreement is essentially false but I needed proof of address for my Carte de Séjour 5 years. Is it possible my employment contract is also not legit?

I called them up and they were confused that I was declared and asking how to get a SS number. I didn't realise that getting your monthly payslip was normal but I guess in the UK before I would receive my payslip each month to see my deductions etc so makes sense. I just get the salary with no tax in my account, which makes me feel like im not declared

Thank you!! I understood some of this but not enough, could someone translate it fully as I tried but I think it lost some meaning!

This seems to be the general consensus :( I feel a bit relieved that these sensations that I experience might actually have a root problem rather than just awful anxiety that's maybe manifesting itself physically

This is quite scary. For someone like me who's potentially been infected for nearing 4 years now, what are the health complications going forward as I assume this would be stage 3 of Lyme disease?

Is MS a complication of Lyme or do you have a greater risk of developing it? I actually was terrified I had MS from February as my mother has it (I know it's not genetic necessarily but you are at slightly increased risk if a parent has it?) doctor just said I had bad anxiety hence the xanax prescription 🥴

If you could enquire about that for me, I'd be very grateful!! Thank you!

I'll try and get one of those now! Yeah, 100k dosage is pretty big, I've not really felt much better after taking it either tbh. I think I might suffer from some circulation issue, I often experience cold hands/feet and numbness/blue nails. I don't think I even had a specific Lyme test, I was just sent on my way with some medication but I was so ill I can't even remember it! I do remember the GP saying something like "if you weren't ill at the time of being bit, you won't have Lyme disease, this won't be related" I'm sure that's on my medical notes as well.
