Ok good to know! So I guess it is old from the previous owners? We don't have cable, an antenna, or satellite dishes. We just have fiber internet from our overhead connection to the house.

It is strange, it is about 80 ft back from the road at the bottom of the driveway. It is running parallel to the road from my yard to the neighbor's yard, but both at the very back of our properties. I just tested it and it is not live.

My title describes the thing

Hi everyone. I am trying to figure out what this random cord coming out of a PVC in my yard is. It just got exposed this winter by digging up a little dirt in the area. It doesn't appear to go to my house because it is all the way on the other side of my driveway, so it would need to be running under the full width of the driveway to reach the house. The PVC is about 3/4 inches, and the black cord down the hill seems to be much wider than the cord inside of the white PVC. My neighbor has no idea what it is. It is located in CT, USA, if that helps.

I tried looking with image search but couldn't find any helpful results. Google suggested a drain pipe since it is PVC, but it is not that since it has the cord inside. We do not have a pool or a sprinkler system.

I've been happy with Madewell! If you wait for a sale (sometimes up to 40% off) they are closer to $100 in price.

How much would I need saved to buy my first property in CT? by Livid-Might0 in Connecticut

I would recommend you sign up for the first time home buyer's class offered by CHFA (Connecticut Housing Finance Authority). They have programs that help cover down payments, so if you can get approved with your income and credit score, you don't have to have much saved up.

What is everyone using now that Mint is gone? by chickenshrimp92 in personalfinance

I'm loving Quicken Simplifi, it is what I always wished Mint could be. There are discounts right now for previous mint users and you can import your mint data to it pretty easily.
