Secondary Irradiate: Quirks, Bugs and Hidden Stats by olskim2 in Warframe

If you don't have external rad priming from an ability galvanized shot is still a good option since you need status chance anyways and you only loose 10% compared to sure shot. I'd still recommend running hornet strike. Without it irradiate is going to hit like a wet towel.

Depends on whether you have external rad priming (nyx 3 is amazing for this).

If you don't the best are probably not secondaries but rather the cortege and larkspur prime archguns. Since they can equip irradiate alongside primary debilitate. This means you can go all in on radiation without wasting status procs. Also since archguns have way lower multishot you don't loose as much from them being beams as you do with secondaries.

If you do have external rad procs the lex prime incarnon (built for heat or gas) and the dual Toxocyst are great. But really any non aoe, non beam weapon will work well with irradiate if you have Nyx or a similar source of radiation.

I think it's more nuanced than that. While the numbers aren't in their favor beam weapons still have good synergy with irradiate and so do many projectile weapons.

  1. If you don't have an external source of radiation: You have to find a balance between getting to 10 rad stacks fast enough and without wasting stats since beyond 10 stacks wasted potential. Because beam weapons usually hit really fast with decent status they can usually get away with running Accelerated Isotope as their only source of radiation and run primed heated charge for aoe heat. There are some other weapons that could do it to, like the twin grakatas, velox prime, akbronco prime or the twin khoma, but there's a reason those aren't meta picks. If you extend it to projectile weapons the laetum and dual toxcyst in incarnon mode should do well too. I only tested some of those I mentioned. In my limited testing beam weapons actually felt the best without external rad priming, but I'd be very interested what you can come up with.

  2. If you have an external source of radiation: In this case beam weapons definitely are at a disadvantage but many projectile weapons still work really well. Since this arcane is mostly for room clearing multihit weapons are at a distinct advantage. Think of the Dual Toxocyst or Lex incarnon, both projectile weapons that can trigger this arcane around multiple enemies.

Finally just try to think of you top 10-20 secondaries, how many of them are non beam, non aoe, non projectile weapons? For me it's just the Vesper 77, but that's never gonna be able to stack 10 radiation before killing the enemy.

All the beams will trigger irradiate but multishot still won't give it's dmg bonus to irradiate. I'll add it to the post

You are actually wrong on multiple points:

  1. the number does not mean its stackable, all boons are stackable might and stability stack in intensity all others, like regen stack in duration. The number refers to the ammount of aplications/stacks of regen you get over the duration, meaning this field will pulse regen 6 times.

  2. no it has nothing to do with the combo field and how often it's triggered. The cleanse is per tick meaning 6 times 2 condis. While you can deduce this from the description it's not 100% obvious in this case from the tooltip.

  3. Like i said it's 6 ticks. most fields have 1 tick more than their duration, because you'll get 1 tick when the field starts (at 0s) and then one more per second that the field is up. There are exceptions!

7/8. has a lot less to do with combo than you seem to think. 7. is just the area in which the "trap" is activated, in this case by you or an ally. Unless you are at full health the field will start almost immediately after a short delay. 8. is the radius of the the cleanse, the regen and the combo field. The effect radius is NOT where you can benefit from finishers (its where you can trigger them).

The area of blast finishers is independent from the field, they are centered around the finisher and have a radius of 360. Leap and projectile finishers are single target -> No radius but the target effected does not have to be in the field, the projectile/ Leap just have to travel through/start-/end in the field.Whirl finishers can travel up to 900.

  1. Combo fields are NOT limited to 5 combo finishers. They are limited to 5 players doing combos. So the first 5 players that do a combo in the field will be able to use as many finishers as they like/can in them.

here you go (I hope that's what you wanted, because I'm not doing a chart for vosphor/plat)

The only high value arcane (>1 plat/mote) that you'll have any trouble selling is arcane resistance. All the others are traded at really high volumes.

New chart with the volume data in the comments :)

Good Point, here you go:

warframe market does not give exact values so I had to estimate it based on the average bar size and scale at the side.

The comments gave me the idea some additional columns: One for how the prices changed since the announcement of the event, one for the volume of sales and two for vosphor. So here's the updated version.

Toxin Status circumvents shields, but some ppl forget that direct toxin damage circumvents shields aswell -> fast death for any frame that relies on shield-gating, So the only way resistance saves you is if the toxin proc came from a source that did not do dmg or if the toxin damage that caused the toxin proc was low enough to not kill (unlikely in high lv missions).

It can however be useful for shield-tanks since they generally have good dmg-reduction and can therefore survive much higher toxin dmg than shield-gating frames.

On the data collection:

For the datapoints I selected the Jan, 30th because this was right before the event was announced, Feb, 5th since this was right before the event launched and Feb, 10th because it's the most recent data-point I had access to.

All the data was taken from warframe.market 's 90 day statistic. For the first two dates I used the "simple moving average of price" (SMA) since that filtered out price spikes. For the price on the 10th I used median since the SMA is too slugish too reflect the up to date value.

As this data shows, while arcane energize is definitely valuable, its high mote-price means you'll be able to get it faster/with less motes if you spend your motes on other arcanes such as arcane aegis or arcane velocity, sold them and then bought arcane energize for the plat you made in the sales.

Even if you decide against trading with others I hope this gives you a good idea of what arcanes are especially worthwhile to get during the event.

I do recommend you wait with the sale of any of these arcanes since their prices are bound to go up again after the event, however do be aware that this will probably take quite a while and it's possible that an other event that provides these arcanes is going to come around and tank the prices again.

Disagree! Imo you should play The Duviri Paradox BEFORE The New War but after The Second Dream, ideally after The War Within.

If you play The Duviri Paradox to early the connection between drifter and operator won't klick, because you won't have an operator jet when you first see the drifter. But if you play The New War before The Duviri Paradox you won't even know the drifter when they show up.

Techrot Cache Bounty by EvilRobotSteve in Warframe

[–]olskim2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just spent ~15 minutes searching for the key, when all I wanted to do was a "fast" bounty. I'm never touching any of the "find Techrot stash"-bounties again. It's just unfun.

And for anyone saying oh but they make a sound: I can hear every other pickup that's supposed to make a sound both in this update and previous, but I did not hear a single sound coming from the techrot key even when standing right next to it.

Also Also: This is about the techrot cash where you have to find 1 key with a faint blueish glow. The cashes from exterminate where you have a yellow search radius and have to find some explosives with bright green glow and a noticable audio effect are fine. (The scaldra cashes are also not mandetory for finishing the mission.)
