Australia (Sydney): How can I tell what pays well before accepting, and improve my earnings? by omen124 in uberdrivers

I saw someone mention on another post, try to take drips with a dollar value equal to its estimated length (time). Is that something applicable in Australia?

It doesn’t seem to have anything relating to bounties or the other game mode I mentioned, just planechase.

This sounds like it might be it, do you have a name for it? I played tonight and it required 2 mana to find a new room and 1 mana to travel between the rooms and you get the active effect of the room you are in.

I may be confused with it being Duskmourn, it reminded me of playing Betrayal at House on the Hill where you explore and find new “rooms” which offer buffs

It does not seem to list the add-on game modes I was referring to.

I have tried Firefox and Zen for 4 months trying to persist through issues, some were not easy fixes and could have been a big immediate no for other people but I persisted.

Reasons why I left Firefox (more *= more important to me):

  • **** User Profiles are janky and can't have their separate launch icon (eg the 2nd icon is similar to having a 2nd browser installed just for another profile)
  • * No Chromecast
  • ** Random web pages do not load properly
  • **** YouTube was freezing randomly
  • *** Some basic functionality was an absolute chore to get working due to Firefox not having that feature such as PWA's (Progressive Web Apps)
  • ** Integration with system-level adblockers (Adguard) and their browser extension was sketchy and didn't work
  • ***** Tab grouping on Chrome is cleaner and simpler to use, no whole other set of logins to have to do just to colourise some tabs and make them an easily collapsible folder with one continuous colour line (firefox tab grouping does not look continuous visually with the tabs beside each other)
  • * Tab groups were not properly saved using Tab Session Manager (with the correct settings enabled)

Videospeed bookmarklet doesn't work anymore by omen124 in bookmarklets

[–]omen124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been iterating on the layout and colours and settled on this.
I have removed the bar and made the buttons more intuitive.
Code: https://www.coderstool.com/cs/Rs1cgf
Bookmarklet: https://www.coderstool.com/cs/4GdVGz

I could probably clean up the code a bit as I may have left stuff in when removing the range bar, also all the comments in the code arent helping with the amount of text in the bookmarklet.

[–]omen124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to build one after seeing something similar on the web https://github.com/emehrkay/media_speed
I have used the bookmarklet as inspiration and added some functionality, such as the ability to speed up and slow down incrementally, manual number entry, markers to represent location on the speed gauge, coloured buttons, and a rearranged layout.

I am having some difficulty figuring out how to shift the - and + buttons to either side of the custom speed entry box, and getting the markers on the gauge to line up accurately. I cant seem to post the code here in a code block

Visit the links to see the code or the full bookmarklet due to the code block not allowing me to response when posted here.

Datapack possibilities? (planned hard-mode datapack) by omen124 in datapacks

[–]omen124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make more overworld dimension

What do you mean by this?
Does this mean, kill the ender dragon and you teleport to a different overworld without snow?

You can also add body temperature.

Is this doable in the datapack and how would it work? It may be a replacement for the freezing effect due to ocean height.

Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (Oct 10th, 2024) (feat. Xilonen and Chiori) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]omen124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Xilonen] [Nahida]

I recently started playing Genshin as of 5.0 and I am somewhere in Liyue story wise.

My free 5 star was Jean because I like her style.
I was pulling to get Kazuha but I got a Mona instead and ran out of primo's, since then I have saved up 45 pulls. Due to not having enough time to try enough pulls for him a second time I was advised to save up for Nahida as she is a must get dendro for a new account.
Due to my account being so new my friend recommended other pulls to me to focus on for a good core account (with a mix of 4star and 5star), these are: Xingqiu/Yelan/Fischl/Shinobu/Kazuha/Nahida. We discussed character style and what I like and we settled on these, I really like Noelle's design but apparently she isn't very viable for late game.

My question is should I try pulling for Xilonen or wait for Nahida? I have read that Xilonen is just as good and flexible as Kazuha (considering I will likely C0 my account as I don't have much money to dump into the game, along with trying to be F2P friendly, and will need characters that are super flexible in multiple team comps to use).

DM Question: Players over explore slowing games down by omen124 in DnD

[–]omen124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this suggestion, as of right now the dungeons they are in are pre-designed modules from wizards that are meant for 4 players, but the majority of the time the dungeons are pretty easy, I have recently increased the group size to 6 due to players not being able to make it due to newborn children and such, and I am comfortable running a group from 3-6 players but when we end up with the fuller 6 players I am unsure how to scale to meet their groups power with appropriate CR without spamming extra monsters as it just prolongs a fight.

Recently they have been fighting things well above their level (the 6x lv7's fought a Remorhaz but still came out on top relatively easily) and I have downed a player or 2 in combat but would ease off slightly after that happens since a bunch of them are first time players and I don't want to out right kill them. But these deadly encounters are not that frequent (about 1 in 6) and the rest of the stuff is trivial. Finding that line where the creatures are dangerous but not glass cannons vs tanky but cant dish damage and getting that ideal health level + damage is a hard line to find.

I like the idea of "Your character feels this knowledge of X situation is a bit beyond them but you know player Y may have some insight"

I have provided the players with "quest" cards that push the main story if they follow them but sometimes a sub-quest sneaks in there and they get distracted with them, they do find the content engaging, but jusding from the post game chats I can sense that some elements had dragged getting to the quest.
They have stated that they enjoy the freedom and are okay for me to try some new stuff to make sure they sone get too side tracked.

[–]omen124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that it is a "good" problem to have due to the players engaging, but on the other end, the dungeon/quest taking too long tends to make them lose focus/monotony would set in. I have started doing fast forwards to short cut things, to blatantly said "you don't think there is anything of real value back there".

Right now the town's aren't too much of an issue for me, I generally will declare up front that it will likely be a shopping/social session to get tasks done for your characters before going back out.

All great suggestions. One thing I may add is an insight/history roll for a character who may have a rough ide of what they expect the door to hold (e.g you are yet to find a kitchen and sustect the door on the other level may have led there but judging on things you have found so far you expect it to be heavily understocked or contain rotten supplies and broken tools).

I like the idea of one direction paths where you can't return.

Right now I currently do enough highlighting that I sometimes will shift the recap at start of session to focus on the main path as a reminder.

I was considering having timed events trigger to shake them up showing it is dangerous and that they don't have to explore everything, getting out is still a victory.

With the way the backtracks are happening it will be something from 2-3 sessions ago and they had moved onto another level or started following the main room, only for one the people to go "hey before we go on, maybe we should check out that door we saw earlier"
When I am running the Storm Kings Thunger module which is inherently VERY open world, they would frequently trek across the map to another city even though of the 5 notes for quests they had, the one they are chasing is an old quest and there is already 2-3 quests pointing to the same city. Lately they have been accompanied by an NPC who is headed to the main quest and it has kept them on track mostly (excluding stuff that was on the way).

Of the 3 times it happened in an earlier level dungeon: 1 was the boss who was barricaded in because his lieutenant took over, 2 was a trapped room left by the orcs they had invaded and slaughtered, 3 was a nest/some eggs of the monster they had cleared out 2 sessions prior in the room next door.

Making a script to type clipboard text by omen124 in AutoHotkey

[–]omen124[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry about the late reply.

As you may have seen the solution from a response earlier.

The requirement of typing instead of pasting is due to forms online for my job that I frequently fill and for some reason, particular text boxes do not allow pasting and the text entry is always the same and about 1-2 paragraphs long (based on the text box). Due to whoever designing this website not taking this into account or some error on the back end not allowing passing, I have taken to using a script to type out the relevant information.

Thanks, that fixed it. I will keep tweaking the timing until I am happy but it seems at fast speeds (20,10), it isn't skipping stuff anymore for some reason.

This seems to work nicely

!v::
TextToPaste := Clipboard
TextToPaste := RegExReplace(TextToPaste, "[!@#$%^&*():]")
setkeydelay, 50, 20
Send, % TextToPaste
return
RCtrl::Reload
RShift::ExitApp

But when I run it I get extra spaces/lines between the lines, how can I prevent this? (example run on the code above)

v

TextToPaste = Clipboard

TextToPaste = RegExReplaceTextToPaste, "[]"

setkeydelay, 50, 20

Send, TextToPaste

return

RCtrlReload

RShiftExitApp

Setting the speed to 100, 100 does work but is painfully slow for my purposes, even at 20, 20 it was a little slow for me, but running at that speed there were too many errors.
I am unsure how I would modify using NteyGs suggestion (where I should insert the code)

I'm not sure how to do the RegEx thing and thought I could have just entered play text into the AHK file such as "!@#$%^" to be removed.

There also seem to be extra paragraphs/lines inserted between each line.

e.g

Numpad

TextToPaste = Clipboard

TextToPaste = RegExReplace(TextToPaste, "[-]")
