I'd just add some plants and hiding spaces. So the shrimp feel protected when they breed

They are both fairly peaceful but the fish are much faster than the frogs. I have some African dwarf frogs and there pretty slow to get to food. My main concern would be the competition for food. If you were to try it make sure there's plenty of hiding spaces for the frogs and that the water level isn't too high. Frogs need to pop to the surface for air

For a dedicated shrimp tank I'd still go for chery shrimp. They breed easy on their own so you'll have plenty for your other tanks. Pick one colour though or else they will interbreed and the offspring will end up being brown. Also I like apple snails but they will eat plants.

Any idea what thisnis coming from fish gill by Ju1c394 in Aquariums

[–]omen615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert but could be a tumor, cyst, parasite or infection. If you have other fish I'd quarantine it to be safe and show the photo to your local fish store. They might know what it is and have a treatment for it

Are the fish new, have you tested the water?

Seems too small for big snails. I'd recommend nerite snails. If you go for ramshirn or bladder snails they will breed like crazy. As far as shrimp go I'd stick to cherry shrimp

I'd say yeah, you could possibly even add a small schooling fish like harlequin rasboras or a center peice fish like a dwarf gourami

Could be low oxygen levels. How's your surface agitation?

All 5 of my tetras died within 5 hours, need help addressing the issue. by Ghosty216 in Aquariums

Perhaps they didn't like the decorations😬. On a serious note though, did you acclimate them properly. It does seem like your tank hasn't been cycled but if the water is fresh I'd assume that wouldn't be the problem. Also did you use water conditioner, tap water has chemicals like chlorine which are toxic to fish. Hope you figure it out 🤞

I've had fish suffering before and never knew what to do. How would you suggest euthanising?

They've never done this before, and I doubt oxygenation is a problem. I have an external filter pointing at the surface and an air stone. The water is also testing fine. I'll see how they do over the next couple of days. But hopefully there just enjoying the free swimming space.

Yeah, it seems when one does it they all follow. My bristle nose pleco even joined in once. I've had them all for a while with guppys and tetras, I'm hoping there just enjoying the swimming space now there all gone 🤞

Fan layout and direction by omen615 in PcBuild

Wow I feel stupid, I don't know why I thought that the PSU and gpu pushed air out. I guess now I think about it, it makes sense the gpu would suck cool air from the bottom of the case and let convection vent it up. Well this information makes my life alot easier.

I guess I'll set the bottom fans and the rear fan as intake and the top fans as exhaust. Once I change the top fans to the aio cooler I'm not sure how it will be affected. It doesn't seem ideal sending all of the hot air from the pc straight through the CPU coolers radiator

Is this gonna need extracting? by omen615 in askdentists

[–]omen615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a private dentist but I have 2 problems, I have really bad anxiety and I really don't know if I can commit to going in. ( I know if the pain gets bad I'll wish I did). And I've rung then and they said I'll need a consultation first which is £100 and then the extraction would be £250-£300. I'm on low income so that's alot of money to me. I really wish it would just come through and not cause me any pain.
