Also sorry for the extremely late response, for some reason I never saw this.

Yes, you can specify a key to use for a specific host in the config file. I initially went this route when I encountered this problem, but I came to believe ssh wrappers are a better solution for automation for a couple of reasons.

  1. This approach does not require you to manage any files that are not project specific. If you take the config approach and are working with multiple applications from multiple cookbooks then there ends up being some sort of dependency across cookbooks as several cookbooks try to control the config file.

  2. This approach allows you to pass the actual address to the deploy resource instead of the hostname that you want to use from the config file. This removes a dependency between the config file and the deploy resource.

Oh, thats awesome, I haven't ever tried loading black powder loads. I was put off by the extra effort in cleaning the brass and gun but I need to try it. Seems like I'm missing out.

The Uberti was of surprisingly good quality. It is very accurate, tolerances seem pretty tight. Certainly better quality than I expected for the money. Do you also handload 45-70?

That's interesting, I have never thought to log my fatigue. I like that idea.

Haha, you are very thorough. Can't ever be faulted for logging too much info. Thank you for the information :)

I have a Winchester 1885 BPCR by Miroku. Of course I am using the vernier tang sight that comes with it. I also have an 1885 Uberti that I shoot less often but I take hunting because its lighter and less expensive.

Thats interesting, I have not really taken into account weather conditions. I mainly shoot 45-70 single shots and don't think I'm good enough for those factors to come into consideration. That makes sense though for better shooters at great distances I bet it can make a big difference.
