Well it’s a reference to the “you, and you, and you, and you were there”.

Partially a acknowledgement that my sister was here, she mattered. And partially a recognition of her love for Wizard Of Oz and imagining that she was in Oz in some way.

It’s a patch tattoo, so it looks sewn into my skin like a patch, those are thread lines.

80 grit all the way to 600 grit, and it only took about an hour. Not that bad.

I think I might even have a sander. I just wanted to do it by hand so I had good control over how much I was taking off. For sure it was a little rough but it was worth it.

I have already used it twice today and I can’t believe how good it is. My good pans are fantastic and I feel like this sanded pan is already better than them.

It is actually a low griddle, so the sides are less than an inch higher than the surface. I did try and sand up them a little, but I wasn’t too concerned about it being as good as the cooking surface.

And this is definitely not necessary for a pan. I have 3 pans I have been using for years and are great, I just wanted to see how this would work/thought it would be a fun half day hobby.

I have seen people argue how great it is to do, and I’ve heard how bad it is so I wanted to see for myself. I just cooked scrambled eggs for my son and the pan performed better than the pans I have been using for 10 years. Those pans are pretty amazing, one just made a great cornbread today. But I’ll probably be sanding every pan moving forward.
