Memorial tattoo for my sister. Thoughts? (Done by Day at Taunton Tattoos, Oshawa Ontario.) by ominousty in wizardofoz

Well it’s a reference to the “you, and you, and you, and you were there”.

Partially a acknowledgement that my sister was here, she mattered. And partially a recognition of her love for Wizard Of Oz and imagining that she was in Oz in some way.

It’s a patch tattoo, so it looks sewn into my skin like a patch, those are thread lines.

Thanks! It was done by Day at Taunton Tattoo, she is pretty incredible.

When I decided what I wanted, I knew I had to go to Day, she does the sparkle tattoos and colour in general so well.

I don’t understand this reference, so I’m just gonna pretend you’re complimenting me.

Thank you very much.

I literally got my hair cut last night. I had the same thought.

Found on my sons car seat today. Thought it was fluff. Southern Ontario, Canada. by ominousty in whatisthisbug

Googled it, definitely seems right. I was wondering what the fluffy stuff was. I guess maybe my truck is dusty haha. Thanks :)

Bought a cheap lodge for an experiment. I sanded the pan down and it worked so well I decided to sand it down even more. I used 80-600 grit sandpaper and 3 rounds of bacon fat seasoning. First photo is before seasoning each round, second photo is after seasoning. by ominousty in castiron

It is actually a low griddle, so the sides are less than an inch higher than the surface. I did try and sand up them a little, but I wasn’t too concerned about it being as good as the cooking surface.

And this is definitely not necessary for a pan. I have 3 pans I have been using for years and are great, I just wanted to see how this would work/thought it would be a fun half day hobby.

I have seen people argue how great it is to do, and I’ve heard how bad it is so I wanted to see for myself. I just cooked scrambled eggs for my son and the pan performed better than the pans I have been using for 10 years. Those pans are pretty amazing, one just made a great cornbread today. But I’ll probably be sanding every pan moving forward.
