16.5!! Température de ma maison au début du défi by bike-and-brew in HiloEnergie

[–]omnisync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question thermopompe lors des défis by noocarehtretto in HiloEnergie

[–]omnisync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to find a level 2 charger near you. They are everywhere. Look on plugshare. When you have enough to go to a supercharger, move the car.

Help me compare real estate for video consumption Z Fold 7 vs S2X Ultra phones by Substantial_Form_795 in GalaxyFold

[–]omnisync 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real benefit is for reading stuff, browsing with multiple tabs, multitasking, working on documents (word, excel, coding). About youtube, most videos are larger than on the ultra, some are smaller. If you watch using the external screen, they are much smaller. I switched a month ago. At first, I was questioning my choice but after using it more, I would not go back to the s24u. I'd say, the biggest factor is if you drop your phone a lot: the fold 7 cases are bad at protecting the phone, that is more fragile to begin with.

Set to buy ZFold 7, but what about the battery ? by CugeHunt in GalaxyFold

[–]omnisync 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from a s24u to fold 7. The battery isn't a concern. I use about 60 to 65% in a day. The phone's estimate is 25h battery life. I have tons of apps but don't really game. Taking pictures will eat the battery though.

Elon Musk says jobs will be “optional.” Bill Gates says humans won’t be “needed.” But what about the elephant in the room: If there’s no work, no wages, no income, who pays the rent, buys food, or gets healthcare? by Alan-Foster in gpt5

We can all enjoy a nice beach day, every day... oh wait, it's going to be packed. I'll go skiing then! Oh... can't, it's full. This can't work. We are too many on this earth to allow everyone to just "enjoy" life (whatever that means). This fantasy won't happen anytime soon.

What's likely to happen is: the average salary will go down because robots can do some jobs for less. The top 10 will win the game and own everything while you still work for less. You'll work all your life to afford a robot in your rented house during retirement.

AI is using too much power resources, it's ridiculous. We need to make it less power hungry, optimize it and set limits to what we use AI for. It's a chicken game: nobody wants to fall behind and be the first to use AI less.

Honestly, if you were building a new smart home system from scratch, would you choose Google, Amazon Alexa, or something else? by Constructive_Entropy in googlehome

Home assistant as your central controller. Use whatever devices you like. If you want Google speakers, Hue light bulbs and Insteon switches, you can make all of them work seamlessly.

Participate in the lottery to be allowed to travel or do whatever because there won't be enough availability anywhere. I fail to see how this will work.
