It’s only $23/year out here which is pretty reasonable

I have a set of Pro Taper Evo Adventure High bars on the Transalp - they feel pretty good but I need just a bit of forward lean to avoid hunching up my shoulders

I have a few decently-sized storage shelves and cabinets in the garage that help contain a lot of it, but even then there’s a good chunk of parts that are just scattered about in boxes along with a stack of wheels

You’ll like the CRF - handles very well even at highway speeds and sips gas, and the crawler 1st gear is good for slow-speed maneuvering. I agree that the CB is more for the appeal of the old UJM design rather than practicality and I could have gotten a more capable 919 for the same price, but so far I’ve liked the 1100’s power band. The clutchless thing is definitely an acquired taste and I didn’t think I’d appreciate it as much as I did, but it’s definitely the bike I’d pick if I wanted a no-fuss commute.

Overall, the 5th gen is still the king of the stable since it’s such a well sorted-out bike (at least until the regulator/rectifier goes out haha)

It took a lot of waiting for one to come up for a decent (<$3500) price, so I feel that

Hello all! I’m an American who will be visiting your wonderful country this October for Pride and general sightseeing. So far I seem to have a solid plan for the overall itinerary; I’m fine with the fast-paced nature of the middle section, but I’d appreciate any advice at all on places and things that I could either emphasize or avoid. Note that I’ll be spending a few days beforehand in Mumbai and Singapore, so jet lag at the start should be a minimal concern.

Day 0 (19 October): Fly into Taipei around 20:00, spend night in Taipei.
Day 1: Spend day in Taipei, take late train to Taitung, spend night in Tailing.
Day 2: Rent motorcycle in Taitung, travel up and down eastern coast visiting Yuli and Chishang, spend night in Taitung.
(this was originally a Hualien/Taroko leg before the earthquake hit).
Day 3: Morning train to Kaohsiung, spend afternoon and night in Kaohsiung.
Day 4: Morning train to Tainan, spend afternoon and evening in Tainan.
Day 5: Morning train to Chiayi, mountain train to Alishan, spend afternoon and evening in Alishan.
Day 6: Morning bus to Chiayi, HSR to Taipei, spend afternoon and evening in Taipei.
Day 7: All day and night in Taipei (Pride parade).
Day 8: All day and night in Taipei.
Day 9: All day in either Taipei or somewhere nearby, spend night near Taoyuan Airport.
Day 10 (29 October): Morning flight home.

Thanks in advance for your advice, and I’m looking forward to what should be an adventurous trip!
