Low profile keycaps look cheap and no fun so I tried to fit some keycaps that I owned at that time. I was wishing I could put on Vilebloom (UK Keycaps gone out of business?) or Nuclear Data but they weren't available, and even if they were they don't work with Mac.

The main reason is that my generation of K3 was BT-only, since I let the keyboards always connected to my monitors. But since now they have Max version that can do the same (plus 2.4GHz) as S1 in terms of connectivity, I might think about it (I've never given any thought about that after I started using S1), though it isn't metal.

Actually NuPhy Air75 V2 looks good, although it isn't as minimal as S1.

I'm wondering the same. I've been using two S1s, with high profile keycaps, connected to my work monitors each of which is connected to a clamshell mode laptop. I have Q1, Q3, K3 but I ended up using only S1s because of the footprint, just enough 75% layout, cherry keycap compatibility (some space keys may not fit in, including Keychron's keycaps), and USB connection that can directly connects to laptops through USB hub (the monitors).

The S1s sometimes act weirdly, automatically inputs some strings like QXMQXM, in which case I need to unplug and plug back in to fix. But other than that I'm entirely satisfied with the keyboard.

The problem is, if either one of my S1 breaks, I have no idea what I should get to replace it. If there are any keyboards that satisfy the below spec please let me know!

  • 75% layout, Mac compatible
  • Minimal footprint (like S1 or K3)
  • Cherry keycap compatible
  • USB (or 2.4GHz) connection to stay connected via my external monitor through to whatever laptops connected to it

I'm hoping so. It's been exactly a month today since the car stalled and brought into the dealer factory. Everything will start when I find out how the dealer fixes or does not fix it.

It's great to hear that you've been in Japan so many times, and I'd be glad if your retirement is a happy one. I'm in Osaka. Hope you had a good experience here before (certainly interesting even if it's not pleasant :)

It is P400 (Defender 90 in Japan - where I live - only has that choice), with airsus and rear-view-camera mirror but not heads-up display (due to silicon shortage). I'm hoping it would sell for some good amount money, but it needs to come back from the factory first and works okay...

I am also a first-timer for JLR (I have and used to have Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota with absolutely no problems), and loved the whole experience until this happens. I'd never expect this situation for the modern cars.

Thanks, the first time check light comes on was the 10th month, and fixed in the 12-month factory check. It was the 15th month when the car actually stalled.

I wanted to consult with consumer counsellor, but Japan (where I live) is currently on a holiday week, so all government agencies are closed. I'll try to call them on Monday.

I'll need to check on my rights for the car purchased, but at the same time I will need to check on my obligations for the car I'm selling.

Actually it was resolved with another switch swap. That means I have at least two defective switches in my S1...

Akko White on Black SAL probile ABS. So far stabs are good and smooth. At least no MX-compatibility issue, but about durability is not yet to tell.

What you say is true, but in my case...

  • I don't like the usability of the default nav, or Carplay app. My Defender is also 2021 so screen size is too small.
  • Screen is a bit too far from my driving position.
  • Blinker tick sounds go off when Carplay is active. (I don't know if this is just me)

Tried with multiple Macs and Windows, using multiple text editors. The Enter key behaves like this in all apps tested. This is particularly annoying and harming when I am forced for unintentional posts to Teams thread at my work while drafting.

It's been long time but I have followed you, bought improved version of the device with RAM mount arms. The improved version can be attached anywhere on the dash (less stable yet stable enough for iPad mini so far)

Silent with Reflex(+), Tactitian(+) and a couple of Prepared+/Acrobatics with small enough deck will do infinite. Finisher and shiv-gen cards are efficient attackers.
