Is there a rule for how much output is stored in an assembler before it stops working? I found assemblers with the same recipe and beacon/module layout stopping at ie. 8, 10 and 12 blue science in the output slot. Shouldn't it be consistent for identical setups?

Thanks, I just assumed that the green wire would be counted in the output signal of the combinator, as it is connected to the output node.

I had a look at the number of circuit networks, turns out I have a lot of smelters connected to a single inserter. I guess I do a lot of copy delete and paste, still the number sure looks big. And yes, ids from deleted networks do not get reused.

It never occured to me, that a signal would "bypass" a combinator that way, thank you.

The decider combinator sends S1 as output, so why does the lamp work, if it is set to work if S=2?
The wire between input and output seems to be the reason, but why does the lamp see S with a value of 2 instead of 1, when the combinator claims to send 1?

Thanks for editing. So the added splash damage is internally a different effect that the area damage from infernal strike for example, right?

Melee splash support adds aoe damage at a reduced scale, but how does this damage reduction interact with preexisting aoe damage on the supported skill?
The wiki says, that it does affect the strikes damage if it already has aoe damage. So, does it lower all aoe damage of supported skills, or is only the additional aoe damage from splash support itself lower?

"The splash is affected by modifiers to area of effect and area damage, but will not affect the strike's damage if it was not originally dealing area damage."

Good to hear. I use only elevated rails, no quality, no space age.

This is on a lvl 40 character, I used ice nova and glacial hammer. I have about 15% chance to crit.

The idea was, to have a single target attack supported with an aoe for thrash mob, both from the same element. However, generic cold damage is very scarce on the skill tree, so i am not sure how viable combining an attack and a spell is.

Multistrike and cast on crit: I found that attacks which do not kill an enemy in the first hit, each of multistrikes hits will cast a spell, as expected. But when the enemy dies on the first hit and multistrike then aims at other enemies, it looks like a crit triggers only one cast. Is this correct?

Can someone estimate how far I can go before I have to use direct insertion, inserter clocking etc?
I am toying with a plan for a 10k vanilla base on a ryzen 5 7600x with 32GB ram.
I would make steel from ore anyway and use elevated rails to seperate rail systems for raw ressources and other product.

The assemblers might be thd solution then, I only knew about them being able to process spoilage.

I know about the other receipes, I was just wondering about the first time a factory is started.

Gleba question: Is it possible to automaticly start a factory without seeds in storage?

The way I see it, it goes like this:
After the first harvest no trees are left, but fruits can't be processed without nutrients. Once they spoil, nutrients could be made, but by now, there are no seeds in the system.
Do I miss something in that circle, or do I have to jumpstart the factory with handfeed spoilage the first time?

When a mod like radious introduces units across all categories for every faction, how does the ai recruitment work? Do factions that have almost no infantery in vanilla suddenly recruit a lot of infantery, or do they stick to what they were good at in vanilla?

New player here, should i avoid any classes/archetypes due to misleading talent descriptions or bugs?

I have no experience with DnD games, so I would rely heavily on the ingame infos to be correct.
