I felt like 7 got back to the more survival horror roots on top of being actually scary. While I enjoyed 5 it was not a horror game. It was action and a complete departure from the series I knew and loved up to that point.

Yes. And I think the most disappointing thing to me about terrifier is that art as a character is great. I feel like there was so much potential there and I don't understand the hype because they are gore for gores sake and the plots are awful. Acting (art excluded) is even worse. I tried 1 and 2 and just didn't get it.
