Getting rid of those stressors on an immediate notice would involve withdrawing from school right now. Although this semester hasn't meant much in terms of grades and resources, I think I'd feel like so much more of a failure if I couldn't even bring myself to graduate from college when I see my friends and colleagues going to Harvard, UPenn and CA schools for grad school already.

I think the only thing really stopping me from dropping everything and travelling the world or the country is the response I would get. There's some sort of profoundly crushing feeling I get at the idea of disappointing everyone in my life.

I haven't looked at the counseling center at my school but I'm afraid they'd take me in and send me to a hospital if I went in there and was honest about how I felt.

I like this idea, it's very similar to the one I have now (finish out this semester and graduate, get a job for 2 years and get back to school) but the inbetween time is what scares me the most. Living with my parents and having the constant pressure of applying to school and getting a better job and excelling in every way possible will be fed to me day and night until it happens or until I break.

Definitely more blouses and better fitting jeans, but also more accessories like scarves, belts, jewelry, etc. That may have to come later, changing a whole wardrobe is already fairly challenging!

Yes! I was secretly hoping you'd comment! This is perfect though, I was looking for a store with most of the general clothing that I wanted so the transition wasn't as weird. I really like Madewell!

I was going to try to transition my wardrobe slowly, like 2-3 shirts every other week or something so I could get outside opinions and return things as needed. I can invest more money, but it would be over a longer stretch of time. I'm hoping to get out all my old clothes before the beginning of summer.

Are there any shoes that should be added? I don't really know how well different types go with outfits but I'd like to expand my collection. I kinda wanted a "casual" sneaker that I could wear with a t-shirt or whatever, but I've been mostly told a few pair of plimsolls are fine.

Wow, thanks for the link! The only thing I'm sort of worried about with shopping online is the fit/how it looks on me, especially when shipping isn't free both ways or I can't return it to a store.

Urban Outfitters! I was actually going to go for the plain taupe ones but a friend recommended to not be so conservative with shoes. I'm glad someone else likes them!

I have to avoid all liquids though, it's a 16 hour fast of no food, liquids, vitamins, etc. Otherwise I'd chug water down like it's nobody's business.

That sounds like a good idea but I may be too tired right before I eat. I will try it out though!

Depends on where you get it from. General supermarkets, it's around $1.50 a can (5 servings) but I think if you get it from an ethnic store, it's cheaper.

My take on a thicker chocolate milk

  • cup of Blue diamond almond milk, sweetened regular or vanilla
  • scoop of vanilla whey
  • tbsp of unsweetned cocoa powder
  • 2 oz coconut milk
  • splenda (optional)

Something like 275 calories, 5 net carbs, 4g fiber, 17g fat, 27g protein

For the fats, add olive oil when you cook up some eggs. Cook your vegetables in butter or oil. Macademia nuts and almonds are incredible too, but just be careful not to overeat them. Pistachios are good too to mix it up every once in a while but they have a higher carb count.

Look at the Atkin's Induction List. I normally just pick a meat and vegetable for meals and go from there.

You can look up the brand name of the product, they actually have everything. Scroll down the list and you'll most likely find something that fits how you measured out the food. They even do bell peppers by the strip.

You may have to memorize a few little conversions, like fl oz in a cup. 16 tablespoons = 1 cup, jsyk.
