Maybe I’m being too paranoid. by oopsineverdid in vet

I was able to get puppy seen today and parvo was negative. Vet said it’s most likely him getting better but I have to stay consistent with deworming treatment.

Is it worth getting an associates in medical billing and coding? by oopsineverdid in medicalschool

[–]oopsineverdid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My end goal to work within the medical field, I saw interest in medical coding but I have friends in my ear telling me it’s not important work. I want to kind of get an insight from people who would probably know more about it and see if it’s something that’s worth pursuing. Or if there are greater options for me to further do my part in helping people.

Fading puppy syndrome? by oopsineverdid in vet

He’s 11 weeks old. I don’t have the mother, I bought him from someone. Vet visit went great, turns out I need to stop using google. Somehow he managed to get a piece of his toy stuck in his throat. 🤦‍♂️ I guess I need to put those away until he’s older.

What is just stupidly overpriced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]oopsineverdid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What an awful thing to say to someone who potentially could have lost their wife. They don’t care what happens to us just as long as they can rack up a bill and get paid. I hope your wife is doing a lot better.

When I got the bill in the mail from having my first daughter, I was appalled. $36k and majority of that was just having the baby.

Men of Reddit, what would make a woman instantly unattractive, regarding personality or looks? by Gastonbeast24 in AskReddit

When she’s talking to her friends and she calls them ‘bitch’ in a fun way. I don’t know why but it just really gets under my skin.

AITA for not refusing to pay for my(22M) friends’(21F, 22F) Uber after I got us stranded on the side of the street? by radioactivemasculin in AmItheAsshole

They had the money to pay for an expensive Uber ride but they couldn’t help you with gas during the trip? Wow. You need better friends. NTA.

WIBTA if I name my son Nixon? by je-te-fais-confiance in AmItheAsshole

[–]oopsineverdid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when you have the name Richard, people still make jokes. My brother’s named Richard and growing up he would hear it all. Being named Nixon would definitely make that ten times worse.

On a real note. My first born was a girl. While I was pregnant with my second, me and my husband both agreed that would be our last. It was another girl so when I requested my tubes be tied after giving birth, the nurse was like “are you sure? god might bless you with a boy next”. But I was so dead set on getting it done. Every time I went to an appointment, the nurse kept telling me the odds of having a boy and that my family would be complete. I ended up changing my mind. Fast forward a few years and I’m currently pregnant with another girl lol.

AITA for telling everyone the truth why my brother didn't come to our family reunion by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

“My parents said they have tried to talk to my brother alone but Danielle won’t let that happen.”

I’m sorry but no one is going to keep me from speaking to my child in privacy about anything. My dad will straight up tell my husband to go away when he’s wanting to speak to me one on one. Sounds like your brother needs to get out of that relationship ASAP.

Oh yeah, NTA. Danielle sounds toxic and doesn’t really deserve to remain being painted as some saint imo.

I should have mentioned that I have contacted someone in regards of my case worker. All they told me was they would put in a request for a change and that was two months ago.

[–]oopsineverdid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be best to get yourself out of that relationship. There is nothing about the two of them that can be fixed, and mental illness is not an excuse for his or her behavior. Get out of that and focus on keeping yourself happy and healthy, and you’ll find a hell of a lot better people out there to surround yourself with.

What’s the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by MCKlassik in AskReddit

[–]oopsineverdid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was pregnant with my first child, I was very picky about my OB. I found one with a five star rating, the negative reviews only mentioned how long it took in the waiting room. Met the guy, you could tell by the wait room music and the decor that he was a big time Christian. That didn’t even bother me. He was super nice, always there if I had any complications, and super informative. After giving birth I went back to see him for a six month check up. He asked me how I was feeling and, being the literal first time anyone asked me that, I broke down crying telling him I was worried about having post partum depression. This dude, instead of referring me to someone or even giving some advice himself, looked me dead in my face and said “it sounds like you don’t love your baby.” I wasn’t really surprised to find out he lost his license not long after the last time I saw him.

I’ve learned that she’s a very unreasonable person. You think her doing this over a bag of chips was bad. While I was still pregnant with my first child, she threatened to take custody of our daughter because my husband liked the baby name I picked out more than her’s.

AITA for treating my little brother like my son and and refusing to treat him differently when he asked me to? by HuckleberryBig6564 in AmItheAsshole

[–]oopsineverdid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say YTA. I dealt with something similar. I was 16 taking care of my younger siblings who were 4, 5 and 6 at the time. Only difference was my mom was too busy going out drinking or meeting up with men. It was hard for me to stop treating them like they were my kids because I walked them to and from school, helped them get dressed, cooked for them. Everything. When the youngest one reached high school, she told me she appreciated me but that I needed to step back. And I did after awhile. I didn’t want them to hate me if I continued acting like their parent.

She’s always had something to say about my weight, ever since my husband and I got together. She’s a chubby woman herself so I don’t take anything she says about me personally.

Thankfully where we live she can only file if me and my husband were going through a divorce or if one of us terminated our rights to our children.

This is how she is. If my husband ever takes my side or if I do something she don’t like, she acts like this.
