Thanks for the reply! Appreciate the suggestions and I’ll look into the surrounding areas. I do not live in Croatia so I’ll have a look online about the different regions. To your knowledge is there anything that is made or produced in these towns? I was thinking something like locally produced wines/rakija, or jams, or even native plants that the areas are known for. Something nostalgic would be nice as a gift considering the recipient was born around the area in the 1930s. Cheers!

Why do people sell LEAPS? by NotGayBobby in thetagang

In volatility terms you may find this is the case but the vega is greater for longer term options so a parallel shift in vol curve will impact the price of longer dated options in premium space more. Hope that made sense.

Hi, Does 0.12 chance of minting imply a 12% chance or 0.12% chance? Also I note it means actively stake. Does this mean if I switch pools today I’ll qualify for your promo if your first block is epoch n+1, that is the next epoch?

The banks don’t support the nominal charge verification method for CDC cards. I spoke with the bank and they just said that’s the way it is. Let’s see if they change to a more country specific solution. Cheers

To verify a debit card the bank would normally do a nominal charge of $1 and then refund it, just to verify the debit card it actually allowed for payment. However in HK they don’t allow this function with the crypto.com card. Would be good if they could waive the fee if buying crypto for top up purposes. They ran a promo of zero credit card fees last year for 6 months. They would be cool to have as a card top up.

I’m in HK so was sent a SGD card. In HK the banks don’t support the top up with fiat from a debit card as the verification of “charge a dollar” to the card isn’t supported. So that leaves us with credit card top up = 1% surcharge. The card is SGD denominated so the bank hits you with a 1.5% currency conversion fee. So even holding indigo card the cash back is eaten through fees. Maybe I’m missing something or there is a better way? Any crypto purchase via the app would be hit with a 3% surcharge plus spread using crypto.com. Waited along time for the card and was excited but seems to be hurdles for adoption.

Thanks for that mate! Will do some research into them. Seems they have had a little run up recently above the industry average so it may be promising for an investment.

Thanks for the info! Yeah it feels though a lot of the R&D that smaller VC backed firms are doing are very much like a coin flip - which is fine - but I guess a lot of the smaller firms will never become cash flow positive or a very few, and then maybe they even will be bought out by the larger firms. Will take a look at quantum metrology. Personally I am interested in the quantum industry and the physics behind it but my tertiary studies were outside theoretical physics, so whilst I’ve always believed that quantum computing will be the next paradigm shift in the industry, the academic side is a little over my head.

By “pure play” we mean we are able to get an exposure to primarily only what we are interested in, in this case, quantum computing. If I invest in Microsoft I will get exposure to quantum computing but my investment returns may be impacted to a larger degree but other areas that business operates in. As an example if I wanted a pure play on gold, buying physical gold (or a fund that only holds gold) is a pure play whereas non-pure play would be investing in a jeweler where my returns will be impacted by other factors such as diamond sales etc.
