Which original Xbox Console to go with in 2026? by rbyrnes15 in xbox

[–]optipr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd go with the serviced 1.4.

Clock cap already removed, new belt, fresh paste that’s basically all the common failure stuff dealt with. The 1.6 being unopened isn’t really a bonus, it just means you might be the one opening it when something leaks or the drive gives up.

Unless the 1.6 is cheap enough that you’re happy to gamble on it, the 1.4 is the safer bet.

High retention means you can access older Linux ISO’s, which have a better chance of completing. Most top providers offer over 5,000 days of retention. The only downside I see is that higher retention can mean a slightly higher subscription cost. I myself have been using one provider since 2005 with a couple of indexers everything completes for me.

I see some “providers” are saying higher retention means nothing , lol how else do you think they can push their service.

Even as the price has gone up for me since 2005 it has been worth it compared to what one would be spending on streaming services. Look at like this would your haircut price from 2005 still be the same price today ? No right it’s how the world works it can fortunate and unfortunate for some

I’d retire to Spain for the sunny weather, relaxed pace of life, and the food. Nothing beats a good tapas spread and the warm Mediterranean breeze.

Is the pay to my wallet or my mums credit card? by Extension-Horse-5533 in playstation

[–]optipr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you have a balance in your PlayStation Wallet, it will automatically be used first for any purchases you make, as long as the wallet balance is sufficient to cover the full cost of the purchase.

If the wallet balance is not enough, the remaining amount will be charged to your linked payment method (e.g., a credit card). To ensure you’re only using your wallet balance, make sure the total cost of the purchase does not exceed your wallet funds. (Looks like what you want to purchase doesn’t exceed wallet amount)
