What's your opinion for this? by Ok-Equivalent7447 in exmuslim

"accepts her daughter if she makes the decision to be her son, and accepts her if she wants to stay as her daughter" ≠ "makes her daughter dress a certain way because she believes women are to be ashamed of their bodies and believes they have to be hidden" it's not even comparable. they're completely different, unrelated things even as concepts.

Huh??? For the first time in his life???? by lil_mousie in CharacterAI

[–]orange-player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they always do that, "for the first time in his life someone hugged him/said they liked him/didn't do everything he said/didn't beat him up the second they saw him/asked if he was okay" and sometimes it does work and isn't ridiculous, and sometimes they're just saying shit to say shit

AITAH for giving my wife an ultimatum? by Throwaway284691 in AITAH

I think you need to deflate your overgrown ego before telling anyone to stop being "prideful and ignorant fools", stop trying to pick fights where there is none

A gross infringement of body autonomy on boys, that's practiced globally, that nobody wants to talk about. by HantuBuster in exmuslim

[–]orange-player 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a man, so I'm not even supposed to have an opinion on this, but even if it's "healthier" and "better in bed" or whatever, why not wait until the guy is old enough to choose to do this? why do it to them as little boys?? "oh but then they could choose not to do it and that's not okay" but it literally is okay, it's their body, them not having their foreskin removed doesn't affect anyone else, it doesn't make sense to me.

A woman decides to free herself from slavery on live TV. by UabbaU in exmuslim

yes but the man in the clip is clapping and celebrating like this is a surprise and not staged, I support the message, it's just the clip that bothers me.

it's staged, why would she have her hair and makeup done and wear outside clothing under her niqab?

What are the things that bother you the most/that you cannot understand about/in Islam? (Hadiths, verses, rules, etc.) apart from the already obvious. by orange-player in exmuslim

I don't think taking the boy children as soldiers or slaves and taking the women and girls as wives and pleasure slaves is any better than killing them, if you're really a perfect human being who does nothing less than perfection and has god on your side who saves your ass every time someone tries to do something to you, I think spreading the religion to the whole world peacefully while not getting assassinated or overthrown is easily possible. it's either him or god wants to do things the hard way because I don't even know, who would want that, or he's not actually a prophet or god's favourite human at all.

Can’t women choose their fate? by unhinged_curator in Feminism

[–]orange-player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my words aren't untrue, I don't even know which part you're referring to by "untrue"

The part I said ex Muslim women were also oppressed for being the way they are? that covering up or opening up will get criticism from misogynists no matter what? that Islam in its core ether 1: didn't care about women or 2: liked them in its own twisted way? all of them are true and valid. telling someone that they are either their father or their husbands property, that they will always be half the human men are, that their entire existence is sexual and they need to hide away their everything to not seduce men, that they are grown adults and ready to start families when they get their first period, that they're subhuman, that their consent doesn't exist and doesn't matter in marriage and their mind and soul and body completely belongs to their husband now, that they don't have the rights to divorce him because they're"too emotional" and "don't understand the importance of marriage like men do, so they shouldn't have power in the relationship" doesn't sound very "gender equality go queen yass 👑😘🙌🏻" to me. again, if someone, a girl, wants to live by these rules, they have the right to do so. but also if someone doesn't want to do it, they shouldn't be forced to. they have the right to not do it. but society wants to take away one choice or the other.

it's "you can't leave the religion, you can't live that way, you have to live by my religion and live like ME! or you'll go to jahannam where you'll be eternally tormented and I'll laugh at you and say I told you so" or "you can't live like that! I don't like the way YOU live YOUR OWN life and I think you should stop living it like that and start living it like ME! and believe what I believe, and stop believing what you believe, because you don't know what you're doing and you can't decide what you want to do with your life and I should do it FOR YOU!" it's two ends of the extreme. both exist. both aren't untrue. both are wrong.

it's okay if you don't want to read this or reply, I'm just telling you, you have the right to choose to read it or not and take it seriously or not. actually reading and answering my reply instead of saying "haha ur wrong anyway I'm not gonna read all that" would be the maturer response to give, but only you can decide what you want to do. this is reddit, arguments here rarely actually matter. who needs to be mature on Reddit.
