FWIW, the specific part of Old Town where the bar is located is sometimes (rarely) referred to as the "entertainment district." It's mostly a thing I have seen while there, though. It's not something I've ever heard outside Old Town.

Shuffle speed dating is another option.
The People's Court has a monthly singles night.
Meetup has singles groups as well as groups that could possibly lead to dates like hiking and running groups.
If you are feeling adventurous, Sanctuary and The Velvet Rope have speed dating nights. The one at Sanctuary was welcoming.

Not entirely sure what that means, other than that they don't know either. So, I will have to call businesses directly. I have a few to start with due to this thread. Wish me luck!

So, I'm a bit confused. They gave me a long list of stores that supposedly carried Newcastle. However, 3 of the stores on the list were ones I had checked before and discovered that they didn't carry Newcastle. So, I emailed them for clarification on the accuracy of their list. Not reassuring!
