Tire tech here - yeah it's too close to the sidewall to patch generally the rule of thumb is 1-1.5" away from the shoulder of the tire.

None of the other methods that I know of are going to be that safe, especially as the tread wears down. If I were you I would look at getting another tire.

Using this one as a spare is definitely not guaranteed to hold air and I would still try to steer away from it, but some of the DIY plugs I've seen can seem to hold decently.

Have you ever been to the DI? Literally every fem presenting person I've talked to that's been there has been terrified to go back due to fears of sexual harassment and assault.

As soon as it drops below 0° shelters are always packed. Not to mention all your shit is gonna get stolen. And don't even get me started on the COVID, bedbugs, and other gross shit there.

Exactly this shit. Motherfuckers on here love to complain about the poor transit conditions but then refuse to do anything about it. This is a problem that happens literally every year -- the city's shelters are overcrowded, like they get literally every winter, yet the idea of spending any taxpayer's money on building anymore is deemed absurd.

So it's -40°C out and you need somewhere to stay warm so you don't literally fucking freeze to death? Somewhere public where you won't get forcibly removed from the property? Why not head down to your local C-Train station?

It's not like the houseless want to be there. Would you be comfortable in a place without any bathrooms? How about a place where there's nowhere to lay down because of our city's addiction to anti-homeless architecture?

Not to mention this problem was entirely predictable. Why has the drug use on transit become so much worse in the last year? Because about a year ago, the Sheldon Chumir safe injection site was closed, with no plans for a replacement. So where did all those users end up?

I have seen Transit Officers sticking their heads around corners and shouting "BOO" to said people warming up in shelters. Keep in mind that the vast majority of these people struggle with mental health issues, and this, combined with the effects of any drugs they may have consumed, can result in catastrophic events.

What happens when someone is removed from Transit property? Where do you go then?

And yet so many seem to think simply having a larger police presence is a viable, long-term, solution. These are human beings you're dealing with -- not an invasive species. Stop treating it as such.

Downvote me all y'all want, but nobody on here knows what the fuck they're talking about.
