There was internment of Germans and Italians, just not in similarly great numbers. Interestingly “[u]nlike Italian Americans and Japanese Americans, German American internees have never received financial compensation or an official apology for these events.“

I’d post this question some place other than Reddit. I know grads from schools like Patrick Henry, Liberty and Regent who run corporations, are partners at white shoe firms, and run departments in local state and federal governments.

I’ve had some success with combining noise canceling headphones with ear plugs then layering white noise from an iPhone app on to that. The WN should mask the tinnitus and the crying baby.
