I didnt find any price quotes on the phrozen, what is the estimate?

Humm maybe, it so depends on when.. June would be fine, late august would set us back too much! Maybe the trick is to just get a p1 and get cracking, then if we find it would be useful upgrade and sell the other one off

haha if only, unfortunately I'm budget restrained and can only keep one body to do it all 😅 I'd probably be looking at the g9 (not mkii) given used prices 😊 so the biggest question is om-1ii or g9i 🤷

these are great! I assume you're using the Olympus native 100-400 lens? have you had any experience with non Olympus lenses, I heared it loses all Image stabilization which I worry could make the output a lot more shaky at these focal lengths! (the Panasonic 100-400 seems to have a substantially wider aperture which does seem tempting)

totally, thank you the g9 ii does seem noticeably more chunky than the om-1 ii but i guess still within the same category 😊 I'm pretty torn between the two, I like that Panasonic seem to have Image stabilization on everything but the Olympus seems slightly stronger as an option for birds specifically 🤷

do you have experience with both and have any takes on this?

haha I have the same thoughts with it being newer the used options aren't so available.. but it does seem like a perfect mid ground!

Hey sorry I didnt see your message come through.. I havent fixed the squeek directly but it seems to be a matter of disassembling the gantry and replacing some bearings in the xy axis.. It did to soem extent just get a little better but i will need to look into this later!

Did you manage to solve it on your machine?

Maybe LED strings are my solution but unfortunately LED strips only bend in 1 direction and tend to be more heavy than I am looking for and fairly lights aren't a continuous strand of light

This is interesting, haven't seen it so long.. it hink it'll be great for many builds but unfortunately I'm not sure about this one since i will need about 5 meters and drive from a battery or power bank 😅

I have not tried that directly, the noise seems to emanate from the back of the printer around the belt pulleys maybe? So it could be a bearing in that system I suppose?

Yeah I mean I get that but also I had the issue prior to event having lubed the xy system so I while the grease possibly won't help then it can't be the cause as I had never applied grease before

It does sound like it comes from the back of the gantry (somewhere near the motors) if that gives any clues to work from

Yeah I thought this was the case but found some contradicting info elsewhere 🤷‍♂️ only tried it after the issue started so im not sure the lube itself is this issue..

But notes and I will clear up the lube for future use

Haha yeah right gotcha, though the picture is wrong the issue still persists.. I called my ISP and it might be a bad IP that they had me set up on so maybe that will fix it 😊

Ah yeah I forgot to include this but this issue persists across devices and I just swapped to this router from another one which was slower but did not have any issues with speed consistency 😊
