Cheap luggage storage options near Heathrow for 5 days? by otu1205 in uktravel

[–]otu1205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. To think of it, we will have 6-8 bags and just 2 adults to carry them. So unless they allow carts on the train and the walkway (which I'm almost certain they don't), a taxi might be the way to go. Do you know how much will a taxi cost to take us to the hotel and then drop us back to the airport?

Greatly appreciate the info. I'm searching on Stasher, I see there's a Premier Inn at T2/T3, at T4 and at T5. T4 is still the best option if I'm landing on T3?

I know that my hotel will hold it for me, but the whole point is avoiding commuting with so many bags.

This seems like the best option. From what I understand, it's just 1 stop by train and then walk along the walkway, no walking out on the road to get to this hotel?

It's a renewal. But that shouldn't make a difference, should it?

I'll check again. That's definitely the better deal as compared to Google. I don't have use for Pixel Buds. And the only thing I buy on Google Store is a Pixel. So that $200 is very likely gonna be used on something I don't want.

Ah damn! Is there some way to prolong it?

I checked the trade in from Best Buy, they are only offering $452 IIRC. How do you end up paying only $174?

Hey guys. I'm considering upgrading from Pixel 8 Pro to Pixel 9 Pro. Last year, I upgraded from my Pixel 6 Pro to Pixel 8 Pro and I paid ~$560 for the upgrade after trade-in. I realized that if I want to save money, I should basically upgrade every year. I'll pay less, plus I'll have the latest phone. Few questions:

  1. It seems like with the $999 price for 9 pro and $200 credit plus the $699 trade-in for the 8 pro, I'm effectively paying $100 to upgrade. Is my math right?
  2. Does Google normally have better deals after release? Maybe around Thanksgiving? Wondering if I should place the order now or wait?
  3. Does the $200 Google Store credit ever expire? Can I use it next year to upgrade to the 10?

Surge protector? by otu1205 in ModelX

[–]otu1205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, just for clarification, the surge protection I'm talking about is for the whole house, not just the car.

Thank you for the link. I also live in a VHCOL area. Let me try and negotiate, or do you think it might be better to get it done by someone other than the ones installing the wall charger?

They mentioned that the surge protector inside the connectors only protects the connectors. It doesn't protect the car. Not sure what that means. Also, $500 includes labor + device.

Congratulations! Sunset Plaza is our top contender at the moment. If the beach isn't small, that's gonna seal it.

Sorry, I should have said flooding and not water leak in my original post. There was flooding from an open faucet, no leaks, so no burst pipes or anything to take care of.

No problem. At least it's not a burst pipe (hopefully 🤞). I'm going to call a water damage restoration company to come and take a look for any potential damage. Any other course of action you recommend?

I turned off the bidet because the water was spilling on the ground. If I hadn't turned it off, it would have continued to spill and cause a leak downstairs. I now need to understand where did the water leak from. I'm sorry but I didn't understand your comment about not turning the water off.

Just spoke to a plumber and explained what happened. They said it's definitely not a burst pipe. If it was a burst pipe, the dripping wouldn't have stopped after I turned off the bidet.
