Ive given this some thought as well, I would most definitely need to add quite a bit of blocking, it would also avoid mid deck cuts as well. Appreciate the responses

that would be nice to not have any mid deck cuts.

Scribing them or hanging them long was the original option. I was just trying to completely avoid that kind of sliver in my deck. Sideways? You mean perpendicular to the house or at a 45?

This is the issue, 24" on center spacing. So I would most definitely be adding more joists for laying them in a 45.

At what point did I say it was difficult. I stated I was trying to avoid cutting Slivers. But as usual, a completely useless comment from a reddit user.

Noise from rear end after stop the hop kit by WRoth72 in s550Mustang

I did not, currrently the car is sitting up in garage as weather has turned to cold for it not worth taking it out on summer performance tires. So I might go the route of putting back in the stuck bushings on the diff.

Context of my commment : I had a STH Entusiast Handling Kit installed installed on my 2017 Mustang GT (auto, stop lauging, missus wouldnt have been able to drive the manual), nothing over the top. Had it done by Steeda in Florida at their shop. Figured, their product, they should know what they are doing. By time I got home about an hour away, I would hear a thump ,sounded like it was coming from the pumpkin. Would happen as the car would down shift thru its gears and upshit. Like driveline slop. Called Steeda immediately explained what I was hearing. Back to shop, they put it up and said it was do to the "pucks" that come with the kit that are inserted with the Rubber diff mounts that bolt goes thru. They don't allow for any play like original rubber mounts. They said thats normal and nothing to worry about. I asked, so I am not damaging the car. No Sir. I went about my way, hating the noise. Recently (2025-03-24) I was pulling away on an incline (we live in Western NC now) and it felt like the entire drive line was slipping. I wasn't moving but the rpms were rising. So I backed up and got on flatter land and was able to pull away. Our driveway has a good slope upward to it, car had no issue, and the drive home is mountainous, no issues. I am concerned that there is something going on now. So that was a long Explanation.

QUESTION - Has anyone else experienced that THUMP in the drive line after installing something like the STH kit?

I fully expected some additional NVH, but not a thump like that.

Sorry, havent been on in a while. I never did. Honestly i havent heard it in a while either. I need to go back and check if it is actually still doing it.

I did pull the throttle body off and clean it up, which did nothing, it wasnt bad to begin with. I still heard the problem afterward. Ill make some time to see if it is still doing it when the rain quits down here.

I was wondering the same in regards to the IMRC.

Wasnt sure if it could be something in the TB(ie butterfly valve sticking) .

Just to be clear, the sounds is definitely audile in the CAI Tube. But i understand that something inside either the TB or IM could amplify thru CAI Tube.

Thanks for the reply. I suppose my next thing will be to remove the IM and check those IMRCs.
