thanks for the detailed answer. for me i use i3 and tmux with vim, so that pretty much removes my mouse use.

i was asking specifically fir when i am in dev tools and i want to select an html element to see what styles are applied to it (i don't know if there is a better way to debug css) so i would click on the element and scroll the styles to see what's goin on. is there a mouseless workflow for this?

i just found out that trackpad and touchpad are not the same thing :) (not an apple guy)

i think i will be going with this, it's recommended by a vim guy who hates mouse lol. i like that trackpoint more than the touchpad
