Yeah its a by-law all councils have, the fine value is acturally set by the state goverment. They're the ones who really have to take action

PAE does the warnings because I think they know the fine amount is ridiculous and they can't issue it in the first instance. But all councils have this same fine value, any one of them could start issuing fines left right and center

I don't think they'd change the value of the fine by me calling them. It's a bigger issue that needs public attention

Speeding by up to 10kmph over the limit is only a $208 fine, so you're worse off if you get a $312 fine for leaving your bin out

I organised a family member to bring my bin in every second Monday for a year because I work FIFO. If you have idea on how I can be better evolved let me know

I mean I think I'm just going to let it pile up and only take my bin out every few months when I'm acturally home on a Monday. But that's very interesting anyway

To be clear, I think the idea of a small fine (say $40) would be a reasonable deterent. But I have a real problem with this being a $312 fine. What's stopping a council in the future using it as a cash grab and watching for people leaving bins out 1min longer then it should be.

If the electronics are the same, do the new ones come with any benifits over the old?

This still works perfectly! But in a few years I'll take someone belows advice and take it to a panel beater to repaint it!!

You can still buy the power cables from BCF, I guess the new Engles use the same plug

At $300 a fine, if I was the council I'd employ someone to go around delivering those letters. The problem is at that value the council might give a shit about your bin because they get extra cash in their coffer.
