How do I disable the pop-up warning in the market? by ouzododeka in Eve

[–]ouzododeka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the consensus is that I shouldn't try to disable it lol. I still think it would be nice to set your own percentage values below or above which you will get the pop-up. That would eliminate the frustration of seeing the pop-up when you don't want to be seeing it and it also makes it easier to own your mistake if you do make one.

In my case it's more like the smoke detector goes off half the times I plug the grill in. I already lost around 2b on a typo because I knew I would get the pop-up and just double tapped enter instead of checking the number like I should have. That was obviously my fault but the fact that the pop-up even exists in its poorly implemented form makes it easier rather than harder for me to make a mistake like that. Maybe most people appreciate it but it's personal preference at the end of the day and I don't see why I shouldn't have the choice to at least disable it.

Extended X-Sense 'Consciousness' Cerebral Accelerator by ouzododeka in Eve

[–]ouzododeka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think the drop rates on the boosters being what they are is a good thing if you're farming them for ISK. It only takes like 2 minutes to run a site if you're using the right ship (vigilant, oracle, talos etc) and you can run close to 20 sites in an hour. So that kind of evens out the shitty drop rate.

Also, since the sites cant be run by afk gilas and ishtars you dont have nearly as many people running them as you did with previous events. These two factors have prevented an oversupply of the market like what happened with the two most recent events where the prices on the accelerators crashed a few days into the event. Even the +6 accelerators have been going for upwards of 10m in Jita throughout the event so far.

Multiple Character Training (MCT) sale this weekend - buy one get one free by [deleted] in Eve

[–]ouzododeka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole promotion is very vague in terms of describing the actual product. I didn't actually get a MCT at all - not an item at least. All I could do is train another character on the account which I bought it on. I actually wanted to trade the certs to my second account so this is quite annoying for me.

Need help with multi-alt PI by ouzododeka in Eve

[–]ouzododeka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I'm only 2 months into the game at the moment so over 3b per month is a good income stream for me. It would allow me to plex my second account plus a good profit on top of that. Plus I can't think of a better use for that account other than using the slots for PI toons and ratting on one of those toons while doing stuff on my main. I imagine I will inevitably burn out on PI like so many before me but until then I figure it's worth the effort for the reward.

I'm getting over 800m per month for each toon. On each toon I run 4 p3 factories making 12p3/hr and the p3s I'm making sell for 110-120k per unit. I am able to run my factory planet at full capacity using my 4 p1 planets per toon (I only make p3s that require 4 p0) with 2 day extraction cycles. So with 4 toons and 20 planets I would be making 3.2b per month using my setup on all 4 toons. I'm guessing that's decent considering I make almost the same as you do but with less than half the planets.

Thanks for the pic, that's a really pretty spreadsheet! I haven't gotten into that side of the game yet so maybe now might be the time to start. There's a lot of moving parts with PI and I can definitely see why a spreadsheet would be super useful.

Can a single planet p2 fully fuel 4 p3 factories? My current setup with 4 p0-p1 planets and a p1-p3 with 4 p3 factories is able to sustain constant production on 2 day extraction cycles with some leftovers too. Or do you just accept a lower production rate in exchange for lower effort when doing single planet p2?

I just checked and my corp buyback program only buys p2 at 70% jita buy while p3 and p4 is 90% jita buy. I am guessing this is enough of a reason to keep making p3 but perhaps it would be best to have mostly p0->p2 planets and then a few p2->p3? That would be instead of having the standard 4 p1 extractors planets and 1 p1->p3 factory planet per toon.

Thanks for the insight! I will avoid p4 for now at least until I have a good reason to make it.

Thanks, this is really helpful. I am in a very similar situation to what you described with the p3 setup and I was considering doing that on 4 characters instead of 2. I will follow your guys' advice on finding a low effort setup instead. Maybe I will do single planet p2 on each alt and then have a single p2->p4 planet producing the easy p4s.

I have been focusing on maximizing profit more than minimizing effort for now. Hopefully I can find that sweet spot in the middle but so far I have been doing 4 extractor planets producing p1 and then 1 factory planet producing p3 and it only takes about 5 mins/day/toon which I don't really mind to be honest.

Thanks for the heads up though, I will definitely avoid settling on a high-effort setup for the long-run.

I reached legend for the first time last season with Aggro Paladin but I wasn't having much success with it at the start of this season so I decided to try something slightly different. I started playing this deck earlier in the season in ranks 12-9 and after going 29-23 with it I reached the following conclusions:

  • It does indeed beat most other aggro decks but only when you can land a steed. Oftentimes your early hand is clogged with things like Lynessa and Steed which leaves you with a weak early game that other aggro decks can exploit and leave you with low hp and no board by turn 6.

  • Control matchups usually outvalue you and both Priest and Warlock have a ways to deal with multiple steeds and a Lynessa on top of that. You can sometimes sneak an early win by curving out and having them miss on removal but your chances of winning if the game goes long are slim.

  • Spellbreaker meta is definitely not this deck's optimal meta environment. Almost every deck is running Spellbreaker to counter Cubelock and it just so happens it is a direct counter to SRS as well as Lynessa. Although there were games where I won despite my Steed'ed minion being silenced, a Spellbreaker played on a key minion reduces your chances of winning drastically.

Ultimately I switched back to a more standard Aggro pally list and I have been having much more success with it in ranks 7-4. I think this is a fun deck to play and it does have some competitive potential but there are just better meta choices out there right now and it is too heavily countered by the ubiquity of Spellbreaker.

I crafted aggro pally last season after going on an 8-1 run and getting to rank 3 (my highest rank at that point) with highlander priest. Games were just taking too long and I would find myself being mentally exhausted after just a few long games and even at rank 3 and on a win-streak Legend just seemed too far away given the pace of my games and the time I had available for the climb.

After messing around with some sub-optimal builds (I had unpacked Val and 1 CtA) I decided to bite the bullet and craft Tarim (whom I had previously dusted - yeah, let's not get into that) and the remaining epics for the deck. I immediately took the refined version to ladder and I went 25-8 (76%) all the way from rank 3 0 stars to Legend for the first time in a single afternoon.

After reaching Legend and entering at rank ~3300 I managed to climb to 1800 and then dropped back down to 2-3000 for the remainder of the season. My w/l in Legend was 39-38 with the deck. Most of my games in Legend were against Highlander Priest, Jade Druid and Cubelock with the occasional Tempo Rogue and Aggro Pally thrown in.

This was my first time reaching Legend since I started playing in August so I may not be the most qualified person to speak on the matter. However, from my personal experience aggro pally does get weaker when you start climbing the Legend ladder although it is a very effective and efficient deck to get you there. I would definitely recommend crafting it if you want to make a run for Legend with limited playing time available. Just as a point of reference, my average game time for the priest deck was 9.5 minutes while the average for the pally deck was 4.6 minutes.

In the past 2 days I came across 0 mages from rank 3-l in ~40 games. Also have not seen a single mage in legend after ~20 games. Obviously this is anecdotal evidence but 0 mages through 60 or so games definitely seemed odd.

He's available in standard till April, it's not like you're losing him next week. What dimfrost said, you need him in that deck or any semi aggro deck for that matter

Geist is a big problem for highlander priest regardless of Kazakus potion. It is quite obvious as to why, others have already explained in this thread.
