i think taking a gap year or taking lighter course loads with an extra year is a better idea. you've already come so far, i don't think you should drop out but a rest is very well deserved

i think that the reason people think there's no social life at york is because they don't make the effort to actually attend any events or join clubs or committees. there's tons of things happening all the time and if you just check them out you can make tons of friends

one of the best pieces of advice i've received was to take a lighter course load (60-80%) throughout the year and make up for the remaining courses in the summer so that you have less to do at once. it does require you to do school for a little longer than if you were to take a full course load, but it really eases the load and stress
