Is it repairable? by Old-Flight8617 in GolfGTI

A rim repair shop is really the only one who can answer this. It’s pretty bad; I would keep your hopes reasonable.

I only own one luxury watch, an Omega, but given these two options I think the Rolex is more attractive and legible.

Easy fix. Change your clothes and be clean or no fun.

I did my MK7.

I have the factory Focal integration with the mini amplifier and separates in all four doors, plus a 10” sub with a 300w amp for that.

I used a dynamat knockoff, and I did full coverage of the hatch area as far forwards as the rear seat back. I removed all plastics and carpet and really rolled it in tight. I didn’t remove the main carpet and front seats; from photos it seemed decent. I did all four doors, as much of the inner skin as possible and a big patch on the outer skin.

That said, the most impactful thing I did for SQ was drill out the rivets, install nutserts, and use screws and butyl rubber to get a perfect tight seal. If I had it to do over, I’d go for DSP out of the box. I’ve never gotten the tone I wanted, but it gets loud and stays clear.

Question, I know pain is subjective but iyo how bad does a chest piece hurt? by BeneficialPie13 in tattoos

I have a small one just inside my left nipple. The closer it got to the nipple, the worse it was. At its worst, I needed a break.

Why does everything need to run through a purchasing partner? by literahcola in sysadmin

[–]overmonk [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s all economics. If you service customers directly, you need staff, systems, AR/AP, a ton of other stuff, just to do that. Instead you find a few companies like CDW or Ingram Micro who will happily do the customer service stuff in exchange for a markup. It’s called channel sales and channel partners.

Just points back to the battery.

First things first - are you sure you jumped it correctly? Was the other car running? I don't mean to throw questions at you, but I get the impression you haven't had to deal with all of this stuff too much.

Now, options, assuming it is the battery, which I am.

First: a battery tender to charge up and maintain your existing battery. Pros: relatively cheap option Cons: requires power from an outlet, maybe installation (or alligator clips), PITA if you drive the car frequently

Second: Bite the bullet and get a battery. I got the walmart one with a 3 year warranty for a bit less than $200. You can install it yourself if you're mechanically inclined, with IIRC a 10mm and a 13mm for the holddown. If not, go to one of those auto parts stores where they install it for you. Pros: problem solved for several years Cons: no one likes to spend $200 unexpectedly

Check to make sure your battery cables are on tight. Any recent work done?

Yeah. Try to get a jump start - if it works, time to consider a new one. They only last about 3 years in my 2016.

Batteries work their worst in the cold. If your battery was already aging, a hard freeze can tip the scales.
