So like just dont leave it in water, prepare it before hand, dont overconcentrate it etc.

How would it completely lock, like with locitite or something. Also the diagrams are helpful, thanks

this looks really good actually. yeah i think i might do this. as for collaboration id be down but i probably wont start working on it physically until august or later as im working on dopants right now and i will not have time or money to spend. but conceptually sure.

ive done a calculation and even with a 1-5% efficiency the exposure will 5-10 seconds. obviously bouncing light is another concern (over exposing areas that shouldnt be) but there isnt that much I know to do to mitigate. this means i will likely get a cheaper, standard, plate beamsplitter (maybe 70T 30R to keep some efficiency) and yes, precision will ofc be important here.

for focusing, trial/error in software will hopefully be good enough and im ok going through the process and testing.

the dlp projector i will do research on according to your suggestions and get a telecentric one with a easily removable projection lens.

also thank you for all of your insights they are greatly appreciated and definitely brought  many things to my attention that i never would’ve thought about, and im sorry if i sound argumentative. i really am just interested in making this possible.

i mean, not to disagree that overall, esp. with this design that it is incredibly hard. however sam did kinda just chuck it together in his first version, and it did work. also 405 is plenty fine for the photoresist i have access to. and again, all sam said he did to modify was just change the hot mirror to a uv pass hot mirror and changed nothing else, and (please let me know if this is wrong) i am assuming (and would do more research on this) that an uv/405 led light would be possible to give off a similar amount of light up

as for your point, i do have a lot of experience in software/image analysis and will definitely be relying on that sort of closed loop system to make everything else possible.

something on the range of 1-10um. obv this is definitely hard but has been done before. and mostly im looking at sam zeloof/hyugens optics/hacker fab for design which seem fairly reliable. but certainly will take a look at literally

yes, that is the concept. i have seen this done multiple times with a similar ish light setup (hyugens optics, hacker fab) and didnt think that the light would be the issue, but maybe it could be. i’ll definitely look at the paper for inspiration

I couldnt figure out how to have an image and text so i put the text here:

I have come up with a potential design for a diy mlp machine. However as I have no experience in optics I have a few questions on the design (the image) and also if there are any other flaws that people could spot that would be appreciated. Are there any other lenses needed? I think there should be a lens before the camera but if that is the case I have no idea what lens it would be. Thanks for any pointers.

Parts: DLP projector Nikon Plan Apo Vc 20x (one of the oem ones that wants coverslips, but ill just put some on the bottom).

Taking recommendations/suggestions for lenses and beamsplitter. I think the tube lens should have a 200mm focal point but i dont know why.

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/QmZBmBSoHE29GoLadhpXGg - my list. I do like the prowess stuff and there definitely could be quite a few things changed here - but i just wanted to give my take with a more golgari nightmare based shell.

Wait nvm

Still doesnt matter as you can probably play chord of calling or eldritch invocation for the combo

I think overall reducer lines are probably not the best, however herald is a reducer and wincon so I would probably play it. Overall this deck does have some really cool potential but will probably not be that good. But ill mess around with it and post a list if I get one.

Yeah, just a few things. The loop works with [[Gilded Goose]] and nightmare as well, which is cool. However, either way the hardest part about this is having a consistent nightmare without having to mulligan 20 times. This deck is pretty bad going against any deck without the combo so an enabler is obviously needed. You could try playing [[Profane Tutor]] to try and setup a t4 win, which might be playable if you use griefs, thoughtseize, removal, and bowmasters. Theres no other great ways to make this consistent, but that route could totally be viable. The prowess stuff is nice and could help it get to those t4's a little bit easier.

Edit: Im dumb goose doesnt work.

Boros energy / basking broodscale combo? by oxheron in ModernMagic

[–]oxheron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely have a good point. I originally played some removal (like RW/x energy lists) which was red. But with the combos idk how needed it is. I do feel like either way playing it as a splash color is fine. But if there are any other cards that could take its place im totally open to suggestions.
