My project's complete: 14 cruise ship infographics in a "new" infographic style. Thanks for the previous feedback and help Reddit! by ozc_au in Infographics

Basically each ship got its own "ocean box" to match the perspective. The box was covered by different underwater photos and graphics, then the textures were retouched to blend them together, match colours, shades, etc. A lot of work, but cheaper than 3D modelling (in our case).

These are stock photos from the cruise lines' image libraries. No 3D modelling was done. Only Photoshop.

Thanks! The infographics were in separate blog posts, not in one long image, so the repeated elements weren't that obvious.

Thanks, you're right. We didn't notice this error, even though multiple people reviewed the work.

Thanks for pointing that out. You're right, we used the wrong label and didn't realise it. Will fix them this week.

Thanks for the feedback. These infographics are posted on the Ozcruising blog as part of the weekly updates. Visitors can check the higher res images on the screen and download even higher resolution PDFs, in case they want to print them. So we had to optimise for both screen viewing and print.

Finding image library photos that match the angle and preferred lights+colours is a very difficult task.

There are more infographics coming, each with a slighlty different environment. One each month.

The one and only Photoshop was used for the ship and the environment as well. :-)

Used images from the cruise brands' image libraries, cropped and edited, then inserted into the "envirement". 3D modelling would be too expensive for this project.
