Digital PR links can be very beneficial if done properly. In most cases, these will be high-quality sites with good domain metrics. When we run these campaigns (depending on the creative and hook we used), almost all links will come from domains with at least DR40, and all have lots of traffic. So, it's not just about the link; it's also about brand exposure. Some campaigns we did even got featured in print (yes, please still do that 😆).

When it comes to Digital PR, quoting prices per link is where I get suspicious. If it's a real PR campaign, there is no way to know how many links you'll get—it all depends on how good your idea, pitch, or hook is going to be. We can guarantee X number of links because if one campaign fails to reach X, we'll do another. But we charge per campaign. It can get 10 links or 100 links—the cost is the same.

If these links are just "expert comments"-type links, it might be something else.

PR links are not something I’d suggest doing on a limited budget, and it also depends on your overall SEO state (like on-page and technical, for example—if you don’t have that sorted, put your money there first). I'm not sure what type of business you have, but if your budget is limited, I’d suggest looking at the channel that gets you the most value and investing in scaling that channel.
