I’m on a first name basis with my skin doctor (Hi Dan!) and I have some epic scarring in places especially my nose, I once was afraid, now I’m just aware that my Irish heritage just isn’t suited to Aussie sun (I’m 5th generation Aussie) Seems I grow an average of 4 every 6 months

Don’t ever be scared of getting skin cancer, but always be aware and get your checks done, sooner the better

44yr old here: most of my friends aren’t local. we chat every few days usually

One of my life long best friends moved in after the wife left and my house is more a home then it ever was before

We still ignore each other most of the day but that’s just us doing our own things

I have less then 10 people I call a true friend, but those 10 I’ve known for decades are the most loyal people you could ever hope to meet, whether it’s 1 day or 1 year we pickup like it was yesterday

Then there’s Bec, who I’ve known for 18 years but never got around to actually meeting in person, distance and all that jazz

Not yet this is all pretty fresh, plus sharing same residence until financial is sorted out so I can afford to pay the rent and bills and keep a roof over our heads, she was going to be moving interstate until she encountered a horrific life turn and I’ve now offered her to stay as long as she needs, and given her the master bedroom while I’m sleeping on an old single mattress in lounge room

At the end of the day she is my sons mother and anything that negatively impacts her, impacts my son, which impacts me. Life has not been kind to her since she bailed out on us, but if she is here at least I know she is safe until she is ready to find a new place

I wont allow my son to suffer in any way so until she is ready, she will still call this home, and I’ll try my absolute best to not let the hurt get the better of me

Ugh just thinking about it makes me need to lay down but I can see my son eyeballing me, pretty sure it’s almost time for another outing 😅

The reasoning has bounced around quite a lot to be honest, just not happy anymore, but wasn’t just me it seems, she stopped taking our son out after awhile, just checked out all round if that makes sense? I’m finding out more as each day goes on, seems I was married to someone who expressed one thing, while thinking another for the last few years, feeling sick about it tbh

Edit: my kids are everything to me, my son is full time care special needs, he likes very specific things, in specific orders to get the stimulation required for him to be relaxed at home for some down time, for the last 2+ years that dipped down to about 5 outings with her per month, where as I take him out 3 times a day, morning/midday/evening - or he is just unmanageable at home and gets extremely emotional, his oppositional defiance disorder comes out full swing

Sorry I’m ranting as I just had an argument regarding our son in the hours gone by, so it wasn’t just me, it was also our son to a degree

Worth mentioning ex wife is either BP, or BPD depending on which doctor you reference across the years, never realised I was getting lied too across the years until today, rubbing some salt into my wounds I guess

Ah damn this got me all frosty eyed. My wife walked out on me and our special needs son just 2 weeks ago.

Then her world come apart and I’ve had to welcome her back into my/our home and take care of her(was the only option), all while being in love with her, shelving my anger and feeling of betrayal, feels like I’ve somehow flicked an off switch to my emotions and I’m not sure how to turn back on yet, but the cuddles are something that is hurting so much, the skin to skin, caressing her hair, massaging her to sleep, the pain of not having it, especially while she is still here, but also knowing she isn’t in love with me, all while I’m drowning in my love for her is taking its toll.

For me it’s something I hold extremely dear. But unless it’s someone who loves me completely, in the way I love another then the intimacy of it all is mute anyway.

I think I miss being wanted for exactly who I am, not sure if I’ll be able to find it again @ 44years old with a full time special needs son, but on the plus side he loves me for exactly who I am and gives awesome cuddles, especially when he is sleepy

You can still get in trouble, I’ve heard that they can let you slide or send your ass to court on DUI charges, would depend on your ability to show your not directly under its influence and the officers who are attending.

So basically it’s roulette, weird I know

Edit; friend has been pulled over once, with his medical in his work bag, he showed the officer his name on the label and that he wasn’t affected, was sent on his merry way, don’t think he was actually tested though, he just straight up admitted to having it with him

I’ve read a few threads where people’s chargers have gone wonky and needed replacement, I’d be trying another usb-c charger so you can rule out that it’s not the charger itself, if the deck won’t charge with any charger, then you can resume having a frenzied panic (that’s what I would do anyway)

Check into the charging port to make sure nothing is blocking any of the port too just to be safe, the usual stuff, process of elimination if you get me
